This is the best review of the Sennheiser HD620S I have seen. Talked about the graph, compared them other other closed backs, talk about the clamp force and how these relate to the rest of the Sennheiser family. Honestly you covered it all and in a very straight forward and honest manner. I've gone down a rabbit hole on these and plan to buy them when I can but as far as what everyone else is saying I can agree, these seem to be one of the better closed back headphones to date. Sennheiser put in the work and got something actually usable. Closed back headphones aren't easy, there is a reason you struggle to find a good pair outside of the Sony, Bose, Beats and Apple wireless headphones. Glad Sennheiser pulled it off in a way.

@@GadgetryTech Just got them. I am quite pleased with them for what they are, but I think they are a bit overpriced. Compared to my HD 400 Pros (which are the most accurate pair of headphones there probably is), there is overall less dynamic. The HD 620s doesn't sound like an open back, but it does have the same type of "soundstage" due to the angled drivers. I think the slight bump above 100 Hz helps mask the less dynamic nature of the driver (due to dampening) and adds a bit of warmth to the overall presentation while keeping a relatively neutral tonality. I don't have a problem with that. The tonality of the mids are quite good, but not as accurate as the HD 400 Pro. The biggest weakness of the HD 620s is the treble. It's definitely not bad by any means, but compared to the HD400 Pro they are less detailed, less clear, and the timbre of hi hats are a bit unnatural.
