These 2 watches are my field watches in my collection along with the Timex Expedition North Solar (36mm, 100m wr) the Hamilton automatic and the Hamilton mechanical. It is weird to me that the dressier automatic is 100m water resistant and the military inspired mechanical is 50m water resist. Maybe it comes down to the winding crown on the mechanical? In any case they are both welcome in my collection and different enough. Thinking of getting the Uncle Straps bracelet for the the Mechanical.

Yes it’s weird indeed. The 38 Auto has 100 meters. Also the Murph if I am not mistaken. Yet the Field (which is heavily military inspired) “only” has 50 meters. For me personally 50 is more than enough.
