I've never thought about migration as a natural human phenomena before, I'm kind of sitting here with my wind blown as I come to terms with the arbitrary and meaningless nature of borders and nations and government and...

Tom Morgan Migration is actually what separates Homo Sapiens from the other Hominids, like the Neanderthals. Our ability to travel and spread and adapt to all climates was what made us so successful as a species!
@Skyerzen8 жыл бұрын
we are evolved precisely to migrate. look at the size of our legs to the size of our bodies, not even horses have the same ratio of leg to body. We were evolved and marathoners. We are meant to walk and run long distances at a very good pace very efficiently. Read "Born to Run" it's eye opening.

Boarders and goverments exist for a reason and that is to keep those inside the country safe but those moving from one country to another is natural and it can most likely be traced back to the very first humans that existed we moved around to generation after generation for food,adventure, agriculture and opportunities etc. You can trace back nearly every human beings ancestral history and find out that they were from a foreign land at one stage or another if this isnt natural I dont know what is.
@scaryfaced18 жыл бұрын
Humans were more successful than other predators because prey couldn't escape us. No matter how fast the animal runs, we can slowly catch up. Most animals rely on burst speed or natural defense to protect them, but you can probably guess how that works when early humans were hungry. Modern humans are lazy comparatively and we run marathons for fun. As tools developed, we hunted bigger and bigger prey, cooking is basically pre-digesting food, so we get more nutrients out of our hunts and aren't as sluggish after eating, bone marrow provided the fuel for brain growth, repeat this pattern until the only animal big enough to threaten us is ourselves and there you go.

Can't tell if serious. There seriously are some crazies who think that the Native Americans slaughtered early European immigrants thousands of years back, so careful playing with that fire. But seriously, if we keep the logic consistent, either we call call whoever gets to whatever place first "native", or we can call everyone outside of the Rift Valley of Africa "immigrants"...because that is the actual origin of the human species.
