The Build series (Fighters, Divers, Divers Re:Rise) is pretty notorious for having the kits that they are based on being created after them. Some Build kits don't have the actual kit they are based on created yet (e.g. HGAW Leopard, HGUC Capule, HGAC Altron)

It's actually more like the Build Fighters series going on here. Only difference is this came out P-Bandai. The Build Strike was the basis for the Strike Revive, X Maoh for Gundam X, Crossbone Maoh for Crossbone X-1, etc. Sad to see this come as P-Bandai

Gundam mk III was a design from msv and not from any mainstream media that is not everyone knows and watch which is pretty much understandable that bandai make that kit as a p bandai. Also the reason why bandai made crossbone as a regular release because the design of crossbone is pretty much popular among many people

If you’re thinking about getting it, I’d say you should go for it The articulation is quite nice, the joints hold up quite well, and it looks amazing It lacks the details a bit, but then again, it’s a Reborn 100 kit not a Master Grade, and considering how it’s only a Reborn 100, the details are nice But if you do get one, you should be careful with the stickers on the shoulders because they like to peal, and they don’t really look that nice imo so I’d recommend you paint that part

The elbow joint in this kit is actually updated. You have to bend the lower part of the arm first to get a more than 90° bend

There’s a poly cap that will give you maybe 5 degrees more but not much. For a second there you had me thinking that the little rectangular part hid another joint with some moving armor.

@@MechaGaikotsu yep, it looks exactly the same as tertium/seltsam to me. Well if you want extra bend you could always file half of the square part.....did it to my seltsam and it now could bend a lot more. Oh and it adds extra grey color to the forearm too, which is closer to the re 1/100. It kinda looks like 00 sky's arms now with slightly exposed polycap-shaped plastic part.

9:46 I have this kit and that's not the full bend right there. Because there's a polycap connected to two sides, you can move it slightly to get a little more out of the elbow bend. Just a little bit tho. Also, just because it's a 90° bend doesn't mean that you shouldn't get it

The lower arm joint isnt a polycap BUT its the same shape as a polycap so if you have extra polycaps lying around you can actually swap that out. Its going to have a smoother and softer bend. I did that with mine and its much easier to pose now.

Mecha Gaikotsu will you do the HG Strike freedom so that I know wether it is good or bad?

I found it to be really nice The HGCE version has much better proportions than the 2005 HG version and the joints hold up quite well(except for the neck which gets loosened up very easily) HGCE Strike Freedom is easy to pose(certainly way easier than the RG with its shitty joints and the railguns at the side skirting armor that just love to break) The color separation is also great so if you don't paint your gunpla, that'd be a great news There are some problems with it though You don't get any effect parts for the Dragoon System, which you do in the 2005 HG, so yeah that sucks I've also heard that the wings get bent or even break from time to time because they're so thin so that's another point where you have to be really careful HGCE Strike Freedom also doesn't have the fancy golden frame parts at the wings that the MG and RG Strike Freedom do, so that could be another downside The Strike Freedom gundam isn't originally supposed to have the golden frames up there as far as I know, but they look awesome and everyone loves them, so I didn't like that Bandai got rid of them Overall I'd highly recommend you get a HGCE Strike Freedom, and if you can find the P Bandai version that comes with the effect parts for the wings, that would be even better

If you’re looking at the HGCE (the newer/revive version) I say go ahead and get it. I haven’t built a bad HGCE kit yet if I’m being honest.

It’s a nice kit, but I’m not a huge fan of the elbow joints. If I move the arms too much, they separate (sure I can stick it back together, but it’s still agitating)

I preordered the HG MkIII as soon as I saw it on premium Bandai’s site. It was worth the wait imo. I thoroughly enjoyed the build (since it is a little different than your typical UC design), and thought it was slightly better overall than the HG Tertium for some reason. I really like the MkIII design though, so even if it’s not perfect I’m just glad to have an HG of it. I didn’t know about the 1/100 MkIII. The RE 100 line is the only line of kits I haven’t had any experience with so far, but I really really dig the MkIII design and would love to get the RE100 kit. I have built a couple of the Full Mechanics 1/100 kits and liked them a lot. Could anyone tell me if the RE 100’s are comparable to the Full Mechanics 1/100 kits?

By Full Mechanics, I assume you mean the IBO kits. If so then RE/100 kits are as good or better than the 1/100 Full Mechanics. The RE/100 line got better with each new kit

Seeing the RE/100 Mk 3 reminds me that i need to get more of those kits... I have the Bawoo and he's fantastic. I love that kit. It helps that most REs are MS with no HG equivalents. Or WERE since 7 of the 14 have gotten HGUCs... C'mon Bandai; give us an HGUC GP04, Hamma Hamma, Guncannon Detector, Vigna Gihna/VG2, Gun-EZ and Shokew!!!

putting beams sabers on the front of your shield seems like a terrible idea. Everything is going to hit them, and I vaguely seem to remember that they explode in a big flash. This is particularly a problem given their role, since they are often back up weapons after you have used up your primary armaments. Your shield would often be long gone by then. If it was behind the shield, like the ecaps, then then might survive a blast and be retrieved from your scrapped shield.

It's still dumb that this is a P-Bandai release when its pretools; Seltsam and Tertium, were retail releases. Is it cos the Mk 3 is a relatively obscure MSV thing? Seems anything that's not from an anime is doomed to be P-Bandai i suppose... The last non-anime MS released at retail was the Moon Gundam but that was to promote the new manga/novel/whatever. Zeta 2 was the last one released before the Revive kits started happening. Technically it was the Crossbone but that's a popular MS that'd had a Build Fighters pretool.
