The transformation gimmick was stupid in the show too. He used the core fighter once. All the transformation served was to kill time with the animation of it combining lmao

eh, it proved tactically useful in the assault on Lohengrin gate, the fight vs the freedom, and the assault on the requiem. that's quite a bit of utility.

It does have a SLIGHT use but that's it. Even then it's way more on the pilot/story to make it of use. To be fair I suppose at the time ZAFT was trying to figure out how to make a modular system like the Strike or modular mobile suite practical and work fully, so it makes sense in universe really.

Jordan Broly development wise, it makes a lot of sense. But, tactically, it can effectively repair itself, allowing its pilot to fight a lot more aggressively. We never get to see the Impulse at its best after the battle with the Freedom, but the Freedom fight is ideal performance.

But these are MG 2.0 style hand. The MG 1.0 hands don't even have the peg like MG XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero Custom (EW) and MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (EW); both of which would benefit from an MG 2.0 release.

The Blast Impulse Gundam has always gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to availability. They're either nonexistent on certain grades (the original HG SEED), or P-Bandai (the HGCE and MG versions). Kinda a shame, because when translated into model form it actually looks awesome, though the Sword Impulse will always be my favorite variant. As for the Flyer system transformation, they pretty much hearken back to the original RX-78-2 which pretty much had some scenes where they launched individual parts of it to fly out and dock with the rest of the mobile suit. The Impulse Gundam just made it so that the parts at least had some sort of transformation instead of being launched as is, kinda pointless but at least there was effort.

Im the complete opposite to be honest, i built the RG RX-78-2 6 months ago and days later the frame is still solid (even to this day) but the hand (screams painfully) my burst like a Zaku stabbed by the beam sabers, they weak holding the beam sabers, burst when i put the rifle, burst when i poke it "GENTLE", and my MG 00 is still holding up so the "1 Thumb, 1 finger, 3 finger" is my preferred hands

that unmoving hand is from the Force and Sword Impluse kits for the massive swords the Sword Impulse has, and the Force impulse comes with one for fighting the old MG Freedom. I also demand a Strike Noir ver RM or something else.

I didn't get a chance to pick one of these up, and though I love the Blast Silhouette, I am disappointed at the color separation (especially give the awesomeness of recent MG's like the Dynamis and the upcoming Kyrios). With the release of the RG Impulse, I'm hoping that they will release a sword and blast upgrade for the RG so we can get a better version.

Honestly the "flight modes" and how the core splendor attaches are the only things I hate about the impulse kits. It makes the torso really unstable. I highly recommend the Force Impulse though. It's pretty awesome with the flight pack and giant sword. Giant swords make everything better right?

I'm starting to notice on how they release P-Bandai kits, besides the color variants. First, they'll release a couple of main characters of a Gundam series and before completing the whole set, the least few is going to be released as P-Bandai, just like what they did to the Endless Walts kits. I'm not gonna be surprised if they release a P-Bandai MG Virtue Gundam.

How do I win skullsy sgain? I have an old 1/100 impulse and I actually love it. The face looks ancient, but it turned out nice and a basic build as well. I think it was like $20ish, so total score, but a little small for 1/100. I am cutting a NG 1/60 v2 apart and making it posable vs "transformable?"..."collapsible sounds more accurate" I don't even agree with transformers transforming.

actually you would have been able to insert the core splendor into the back without removing the upper torso. It's actually much simpler that way. It should just slot in like a backpack

Until RG Force Impulse comes out and the sales numbers are looked at by Bandai, really hard to tell if Bandai would want to release RG Sword Strike (which did have WAY MORE exposure on Seed D and more likely for an RG release following RG Force Impulse), then we will tell if Bandai will want to release Blast Impulse in RG (if even in P-Bandai). I was originally so pumped when i knew Bandai is going to release Blast Impulse on MG (as the "un-official" one made in China is getting fairly hard to find), however the backpack's lack of color separation (mainly the ugly red thruster parts, which should have been done in MG Strike RM way = Dark Grey inside thruster parts + Red outer frame) is quite a turn-off. I am torn between getting the "un-official" one (which has great color separation for the overall kit, and yes the thruster portion too… but there are bootleg kit issues) or simply getting the 1st re-issue batch which will be released in April 2020 (pricing is going to be a little high for a kit with "old kit technology")…

The MG Blast Impulse almost has the same height of the other kits except for the FAZZ. In comparison with the Full Armor ZZ it's a scaled down but still in the grand daddy size.

Probably the backpack connection is done differently on Destiny? Remember Destiny's backpack is technically a 3-in-1 backpack… no need for switching to another backpack, so I doubt the connection system is the same as Strike's backpack system.

I don't understand... Every time I click his Buyee links, or even just go onto Buyee and search Gunpla, there's never ANYTHING on there? No P-Bandai, no accessory kits, nothing. Is it a region thing? Why can I never find any Gunpla on the site? :(

Buyee is a "proxy buying service", technically they are not an online shop but more like a middleman service company. You need to find on the Japanese websites (yes, including Japanese P-Bandai official website) that carries the item/kit you want then order it thru them, they will charge you for the kit's price (with Japanese tax I guess?) + shipping + service fee. There are other middleman service other than Buyee but honestly, I usually try the Japanese sellers that actually sells the P-Bandai kits directly to overseas buyers (there are a couple sellers that does that, but getting the P-Bandai kits is a matter of luck and if you are alert enough to the japanese pre-order start dates…), even though these sellers tends to jack up the pricing a bit to cover for their ability to obtain that kit. I have not done a full comparison whether getting P-Bandai stuffs directly from online companies, or getting it via Proxy services being cheaper. I do think the middleman fees are not cheap though (if it involves auctions that's going to ne even more expensive), and shipping is never cheap if you order just one product from one company…

@@xstreampunk7662 i just meant that the MG The-O was a bit of a train wreck. If you look at when The-O was released and the year on the runners they don't match. So the molds were created, but then they never released the kit until years later. Just like how the MG Age-3 and -FX had prototypes. They may have molds already made, but they just never released the kits due to the series' unpopularity.
