Gail you're AMAZING!!! I swear you're reading a student's mind...juuuuuust when I'm about to type a question "oh ok I get increased metabolic need but howwwwww and whyyyyy does the BSG rise" and you go immediately & effortlessly flow into the wonderful explanation of the bodies use of cortisol "to redistribute energy" in times of stress/stimulation...& bam...the whole thing clicks for me....just that simple phrasing of 'redistribute ' did it...thank you so much for another amazing video lecture!!!!

Thanks for this lecture, ma’am. I’m in my last quarter of RN school and I’m actually suffering from these. I have Cushings due to long term Prednisone use. I get to 20 mgs and try to wean farther and I go into Addisons. So, students, they’re not mutually exclusive. You can see patients with both! I have the big ol’ moon face. You can’t miss that S/S if you know what you’re looking for.
