feel like all i am doing is commenting on how amazing these videos are lately haha. This lad has gone down the same route as me, found himself trying to hit certain spots in the swing and becoming stupidly rigid and static so you can't get the best out of yourself. After watching some of your videos it has allowed me to become a bit more fluid and hitting it better than i ever have! still a lot of work to go, especially tackling my driver i haven't put in the bag for about 8 months

Super underrated video! Anyone can increase their carry distances if they learn to properly utilise the ground forces by powering their swing with their legs and not just swing with their arms. It’s all about the understanding the kinetic chain!

Ryan be great to have some follow up content. Traditional lessons people play great for a round or two then the old habits creep back into their game. Then repeat lessons to slowly make the technical changes bed in and become more permanent through reps. How much faster or more permanent is Zen? I’m not asking for a justification of your very successful lessons more and understanding of the longer term positive effects on a players game. Keep up the brilliant work.
@ericcorcoran3036

I can speak for myself...having only watched these videos consistently over the past year, the changes, if you can understand the principles and how they apply to yourself are permanent. I’ve been hitting at-will draws and fades (never been able to prior) that go where I want them b/c the intention matches my movements now; I’ve left all the golf clutter and jargon behind, and feel bad for the ppl at the range doing the slow, one piece at a time backswings, using guide sticks, telling ppl “they were aimed that way”, etc. His approach is that you already have this in you, you just have to get all the golf horseshit out of the way, and let your mind and body work together. Once you’ve done it a few times, you’ll feel it, and you’ll have no problem bringing it back.

Wow!! made my day once again. When ever I hit a good shot I would automatically twirl the club (not so often😒) and the twirl doesn't happen well when I want to do it consciously after poor shots. Teaching a position can only help less than 1% super talented athlete golfers and they will discover it rather than playing it out in the context of their own body movement or thought. Kudos duos. Keep it up. Always waiting for your videos the best distance learning 👍

Cheers from South Florida, USA. Another awesome video! I mentioned on an earlier post, that I have issues transferring my weight to the right and left sides. Would you recommend using the balance board or the stability discs for getting the "feeling" of transferring the weight to the lead leg? Also, what stability discs do you use? It seems like they have a pretty good quality and the ones I find online don't look that good. Thanks!

On the backswing, it looks like his body is swaying backwards. I would think that this would lead to fat shots eventually and inconsistencies. I wish you would show more of the ball flight.

Sometimes it can look like lateral movement and some movement isn't necessarily a problem. Depends how the body wants to move and what movement patterns it creates in transition.

There's no doubt that Marcus significantly improves each of his students. However I think his launch monitor needs recalibrated. On a lot of the videos the distances are misleading as are either misreads or due to the golf ball and mat combo flying with no spin. On some of the videos if you look at the clubhead and ball speed the student is getting it's not possible to achieve the distances the launch monitor is saying
@GRFGolf
@GRFGolf 4 жыл бұрын
There are some misreads but we also take into account where the ball is landing on the range as we have measured landmarks. We see where the ball has landed in conjunction with the readings given. If it's obvious the ball hasn't travelled that distance then we discount it

That's how he'd been taught and didn't know how to access his natural mechanics for more power. It's easy to look at a swing and suggest what should be done but what resonates with that player and how does he/she join the dots him/herself. Prescriptive advice can create more problems than it solves.
@aaronmccardie8795

In the first 5 seconds of the video he said he lost a lot power that was my point.,with my first comment so it was already there but lost his swing.
@TheMotownPhilly
@TheMotownPhilly 4 жыл бұрын
Bunk.... There is nothing natural about a golf swing. The only thing that is remotely natural is tempo some people have better rhythm then others but it can be learned in respect to hitting a golf ball. The rest of the swing is built from the ground up. Some people are more athletic then others and that shows in their swing but it still has to be built.
@GRFGolf
@GRFGolf 4 жыл бұрын
No worries, no need for negative comments. I'm sure there's other channels that will suit your preferred style of learning. We're just trying to help golfers enjoy their game and there's plenty ways of doing it and plenty of room in the world for all coaching styles. I'd suggest you look elsewhere tbh, there's plenty of other channels to comment on. One thing I would mention is that all movement you make emerges in response to an intention, it's not built. The golf swing is no different. There's no such thing as an unnatural movement. We are lucky we possess the most adaptive machine possible, the human body. I suggest you look at movement and skill acquisition science before talking about building movement. Thanks
