Bought myself a band, using it for a few weeks and it has really helped my driving. I like the feeling of squatting before I straighten the left side. It has really helped with my attack angle and ability to hit up. Thank you.

No joke, this works! I'm a former 6 hcp who has dealt with some major back issues and have lost 50+ yds off the tee. I just figured it was age and injury. I was aware that using ground forces and my legs (still very strong) could add significant distance, I just never understood exactly how to incorporate them. After watching this and then spending time focusing on getting low at transition and then posting up hard, I am starting to regain some of that distance. As long as I keep my head back and right shoulder down through impact, I am almost back to pre-injury length. Thanks Brandon.

Thank you for the tips, I will definitely add jumping on 1 leg and band. My swing is similar to your with the left leg where I don't feel like I use the ground force much, I'm more like a body spinner.

Great video, Brandon. Any tips for working this into your swing without over-stressing the lead knee? Mine is fussy after years of basketball and martial arts, and I do something like you were doing -- what Dr. Lynn called "protecting" the knee and not straightening it fully -- when I try to "jump" off the lead leg. May just be something I have to live with.

You got to 170 mph ball speed when you did the speed training with John Novosel Jr. How do you feel the force plate stuff compares to what you did with John? Is there anyway for you personally to combine the speed training you did with the new ground force skills?
@BEBETTERGOLF
@BEBETTERGOLF Жыл бұрын
Great point. With John I used a timed coughing technique called intro abdominal pressure with a faster backswing. That might be a good combo

Great stuff. I have had some good success with these moves with the driver. Not so much with my irons. Has to be a little different timing with the jump perhaps? Have you done any work/videos using the same techniques with the irons? Thanks!

Would love to see someone step on that first to get a baseline, then do ABS drill 1 and 2 with the down under board then step on that and see how well they use the ground forces after the drills.

We did not have this technology back in late 80's but I did have good caddies. I carried the driver about 250 yards with a persimmon driver/real balta golf balls (known by bunker yardage) I was being outdriven by others................. (John Daley, Branen Chamblee, Billy Ray Brown, and many , by 10-90 yards) ( they didn't ever record a 59 in competition, they didn't record 6 course records (best of my knowledge). Just wondering why accuracy isn't ever mentioned in modern day golf stuff. If you can hit the SW, pitch, putt like a boss.................................. go have fun.

One reason is that rough seems to be much shorter than previous. Also, ppl seem to drive the ball further, to a point where they can hit a 3,4 rescue or whatever if they do land in the rough

Why doesn't Morikawa hit the ball further if he has that much vertical force? Is it because he doesn't have the horizontal braking to go with it?

When I forget to add that vertical force with my left leg/hip I will hit massive duck hooks. At first I was leaving the face open with the move, but that was an easy fix.
@s3gts
@s3gts Жыл бұрын
Good Stuff. If squaring your left foot proves fruitful then possibly fall onto proud left heel. That may give you more of a Spiraled vertical force vector? Watch a batter like JD Martinez. They lead with the left heel. Just a thought.

@@BEBETTERGOLF Ok, if in the back swing you allow your left heel to un-weight and in transition you plant your left heel ahead of where it started you will purchase more ground in which to sprial the leg. Not only that but you will allow your right glute/hip to seek that left heel prior to rotating CCW in the downswing. By now you have had enough time with the E-Bell to feel how it loads the Lats and is hurled from the Obliques. All these things are related..Your doing great. And that you for the great content.

Great video .Watched your content for years and it’s always excellent. Take what I saw with a grain of salt .. but One thing I’ve noticed is no matter the swing advice/change . There is always somthing that looks a bit off with your swing. You’re wrists always look really weak and have an odd motion to them that’s not normal.Specially in transition. Are you gripping the club in the palm or somthing? Can’t quite put my finger on it. Anyhow, I’m just trying to be helpful. Anyone else mentioned this to you?
