@plaza5292 why because she's not Egyptian...well I think it will be good since the tables are turned. Israelites were slaves to Egyptians. Middle East can get mad all they want but she is the prettiest actress for the role who has a close enough look to Cleopatra. She has the sex appeal and complexion. They need to stop being racist over who her ancestors are which by the way is Polish, Austrian, Czech, and German. If you want to be exact to Cleopatra she was a Macedonian who we don't have any actress close to the genealogy so the best we got European wise is her unless you find a lost Macedonian princess. Cleopatra was not black or white like Elizabeth Taylor. So if Middle East wants true to character Gal Gadot has the qualifications.

If you read the conversation it was about whether she was a better person to play and I said based on history Cleopatra was Macedonian/Greek/Iran/Persian and Gal Gadot would be a good take on Cleopatra because she's a hot actress and close with her skin tone. However if we want to be as close with an Iranian actress which would be close to Cleopatra, Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power Nazanin Boniadi would be the pretties one. But see sometimes looking at the heritage when casting a role can be good but Elizabeth Taylor was no where close to skin tone or ancestral descent close to Cleopatra but she was the hottest actress of her time. How about before you speak you think what comes out of your mouth. Sometimes Liberals and Democrats have no brains. I'm in school learning History so think what your saying before you jump and say anything about Republicans or Trump. I'm an Independent. So shows again where your intelligence is when you just throw Trump comments out. am from the Balkan Peninsula. Gal Gadot looks like Macedonian and Greek. Cleopatra is a descendant of Alexander the Great, meaning Macedonian. Cleopatra was highly intelligent- Gal will be amazing in that role. She wasn’t beautiful and Gal is! Looks like an all star cast, I will definitely see this. Cleopatra is NOT an Egyptian name, it is Macedonian/ Greek. Cleopatra looks more like Maria Callas (just enlarge the nose a little bit more) than Gal Gadot, who has no nose bridge to speak of. Other appropriate candidates are Mayim Bialik and Ruth Buzzi.

because Gal looks much more like a west -baby -face instead of an ancient Macedonian Greek origin queen. And in a lot of scenes Gal looks like the smaller sister of Liz Taylor, so alike when in costume and make up. Too similar. it's fine that you have an accent but at least learn how to pronounce the proper names correctly. "Exodus," "Cleopatra," etc. even Gal's last name is mangled. the next time you record a voiceover, sit down with a native English speaker first and make sure you're not butchering the names. the pronunciation doesn't have to be perfect but it shouldn't make the listener cringe. mispronouncing the subject's name is a no-no.
