Most people's experiences are tainted by sub par foods and therefore will never try it again. A good/great egg nog is hard to beat. This is the thing - American chocolate and other sweets have no taste - they have "sweet". That's it. It will come as a surprise to Americans but chocolates and sweets in other countries (including Israel) have many different flavors, and not just "hmf, it's sweet". So the translation is - yes, it's sweet, it's another character-less American sweet thing, yey. Americans - get better sweets.

I agree with this........completely! (And I'm ALL ABOUT ANYTHING sweet!) Problem is, here in the states, pretty much everything is processed. But if you hook up with a traditional family, that has old-school traditional recipes, handed down from generation to generation, you get food that's so much more flavorful, and enjoyable. Made with REAL sugar, butter, cinnamon and other spices, REAL spices, etc... But, yes, our prepackaged and processed foods here in the 🇺🇸 can be most bland. Pretty much how I'd suspect most every other country does it. Made with a lot of care, and a lot of love.
