I like the look of the 360 version a lot (the colors/saturation) The PS3 and remake give off a modern anime vibe but 360 reminds of 2000s anime asthetic. The remake still looks good (resolution bump) and appreciate that they reached the game the current engine they’re using, just wish the colors didn't look so washed out.

The new version is certainly more detailed, but I agree that the colors look very washed out now and could certainly use some bolder and more vibrant choices (which would fit the overall mood of the game better).

Gal*Gun Returns is a remaster, not remake, as it was not rebuilt from ground-up. The PS3 version is a enhanced port of the Xbox 360 version. The term "remaster" and "remake" can be confused with each other.

You are quite correct :) fixed it in the description. I had "remaster" in my notes and info, yet I somehow still went with the term "remake" in the end... woops!

Remaster looks better but the remaster being cancelled on Xbox One was disappointing to a lot of people who wanted that version. Damn you Microsoft! It's cancellation shows how Nintendo has changed since rating systems were put into place.

Wasn’t there a VR Gal Gun title? I guess it wouldn’t make sense to have it on switch, but....the switch does have a low effort VR accessory, that I think gets really underutilized by many developers. Though idk how easy is implementing a control scheme for the VR labo when you have to attach both joy cons to the accessory as well as the switch screen. Anyways, Gal Gun double peace would be a no brainer to port to the switch, maybe a remaster or a complete edition with all the dlc’s should happen at the very least.

@@derekberry1399 ah, so there was no standalone VR Gal Gun game, it was just a extra feature for the pc version of GG2. Gotcha, I thought there was another gal Gun game that was exclusively on pc that used VR & wasn’t some sort of extra mode for GG2.

@@maroXUprising Oh sorry there is a steam exclusive vr game. its hard to tell cause the enviroments all look the same and it looked just like gal gun 2 with the vr mode that i play on steam XD

360 has the best details and better models, as I felt Patako's head was a little too big in the remaster. PS3 has the better colors, but I dont like how some of the models look, particularly Patako's hair and eyes. And the Remaster on Switch has updated models that give them extra nice details, but the colors and lighting are not the best sadly. Definitely might try to get the 360 version (and hopefully unpatched) and hopes that it works since Im an American with a non J-tagged 360. EDIT: Im starting to wish there was an options to switch between the old in game art, as I like the way Kaname and the other girls' portraits look on the original release.

Hope you enjoy it :) The game is uncensored as far as I can tell. It doesn't have the post-patch changes from the 360 version.

Returns has a better story and does a better job with fleshing out the characters (and is the starting point of the series if you're looking to get into them). But otherwise, Gal Gun 2 has more content/side missions/a longer branching campaign. I have a review up on the channel (for the PC version) discussing the modes and features of Returns. The graphics of the Xbox 360 were MUCH more expressive and felt less generic. Plus on later versions there's that transition to a photo of the character you're supposed to be talking to. It's just weird. The backgrounds are fine tho 😄
