Uh, the subtittles were unsyncronised with the narrator. I like listening to music while watching stories such as these, mostly soundtrack from Space Battleship Yamato, so I'm having a hard time following the story's progression.

an admiral and commander in chief would never himself go down to the surface during an attack he/she would trust his people to do the job so anything from a sergeant to a captain would lead such an operation unless it was a major operation to take full control of the surface then a colonel to lieutenant general would have control of the troops on the planet

@@markjackson2247 Yes, but he is only the captain of a small spaceship, and not the leader of an entire fleet. The Star Fleet has a rule that the captain stays on the ship until it is safe, he just broke this rule, just as many other captains did.
