+flummi11m -- You gotta admit though that this here comes pretty close to the old stuff. I was actually astonished at the folky happiness in this -- many of the recent songs seemed way too slow and stamping to me. I can only see no reason for Equilibrium to write that many English songs these days. It's not as if they have the deepest lyrics in German -- but the English language doesn't improve this fact. :D

You should check out Krampus an amazing band from Italy that changed their sound quite a bit between their albums. Their older album Survival of the Fittest is a folk metal masterpiece and their newer album Counter Current can best be described as "folkcore" which made some fans angery but both albums are great and any song is worth checking out from them.
