Nick, great video. It would also be a nice separate test to go into the developer options and put the 3 transitions to .5 on both phones. You may find the the A51 is hiding a bit of processing time while it animates the screen vs the S10 that can process faster with the animations out of the way.

i just sold my airpods pro and bought the a51 8gb version for $270 and galaxy buds+ for $127 in Indonesia, now it's always in my pocket alongside my iphone xr with sirui wide lens and moment tele, definitely it's the best money I've ever spent 👍

Hey Nick I have an S10 running One UI 2.0 and my animations aren't as fast as the animations on your S10. It looks like you set your S10 Animator duration scale to 0.5x on the S10 but left the A51 at 1x which wouldn't make this a fair comparison.

I like that you compared the A51 against the S10 (basic) instead of the plus model. Someone who is considering the A51 is probably not looking at Samsung's most premier phone as well.

The difference in speed is so small though as to be almost irrelevant, only noticeable in this kind of test. And you'd expect the S10 to be faster anyway.

you'll see the difference in subtle things and 2 years from now no one will talk about the A51 yet the s10s will still be kicking thanks to being a flagship device..once a flagship always a flagship. 99% of mid range devices from Samsung aren't worth it when a last gen Flagship can be found for a similar price.

At the Geekbench scores you said the single core wasn’t too far off but the multi core was way further apart. Actually, the single core was further off at just under 47% on the A51 and the multi core was almost exactly 50% of the score of the Snapdragon. Therefore the bigger difference was in the single core.

I just bought a samsung galaxy A51 and im experiencing problems when i upload things. When I send a video or a photo the quality gets a lot worse compared to my Galaxy A3. Also video calls on viber are a mess, the screen gets frozen for most of the time. Is anyone else experiencing the same problems? Could this be fixed?

@@nickackermanchannel Bigger battery doesn't always equal better battery life. My Motorola One Hyper has a 4000 mAh battery and my Samsung Galaxy A70 has a 4500 mAh battery. Both have a Snapdragon 675 processor, but at the same brightness level, my Motorola One Hyper last an hour to two hours longer in screen on time compared to my Galaxy A70 even though the A70 has 500 mAh more in battery capacity. I typically get over 11 hours screen on time with the Hyper versus 9 hours screen on time with the A70. I have a Huawei Mate 9 with about a 4000 mAh battery that gets 12 hours screen on time. Some smartphones have better optimized software for battery. With all that said, I would typically want a smartphone with at least a 4000 mAh battery.

A51 comes set on performance mode from the get go and it struggles, the exynos 9611 is an overclocked 9610, the little guy is already trying its hardest but its not enough, samsung should have used a snapdragon or sell the phone at 200 bucks

For that difference in a speed you don't pay a little bit more you pay a lot more ($200). I'm not interested in either but for that 1-2-3 second speed the $200 is not worthy for the average consumer. You have to factor in other things like IP 68, wireless charge or reverse wireless charge, etc to justify going for the S10

Well I am in a country where you can get S10 with 740 dollars, that's more than iPhone se price,but the a51 price is 300 dollars that's 440 dollars deference that's not little bit more it's a price of its own, and it runs games well accept Fortnite but comparing the price I will always pick a51 just my opinion.
