Galaxy A71: Forgot Password but Cannot Turn Off to Factory Reset? Bypass Password!

If you forgot your password, pin code or pattern on a Samsung Galaxy A71 and you are trying to preform a factory reset (hard reset) yet you cannot cause you need to turn off the phone first but it ask for a password that you do not remeember then watch closely. We will bypass this password. Note with a factory reset you will lose all your data, photos, videos etc as if you just bought the phone brand new and took it out of the box. Hope this helps.

First, press the down button and the power button simultaneously (at the same time) until the phone shuts completely off. Then, hold the volume up button and the power button simultaneously until you come to a black screen with white screen options. Read the options, click auto factory reset. Once the screen says complete (at the bottom of the screen), then click reboot phone. This should work.

I tried this way a a half dozen times and it didn't work for me. Then I tried another newer video and it worked on the first try Here's a link to the one that worked: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iX7TY52ldtWgfrM It's basically the same but you have to go volume down+power button until the screen goes black. Then press volume up+power until the Samsung A71 image appears. Then press the volume up till the factory reset works. This worked on my first try.

Never works for me. My old Samsung J5 has 4 digit pin. Just bought 2nd hand Galaxy A71 and asked for 6 digit pin. Tried resetting mobile (although I thought pin was linked to SIM card not mobile) and just won't work following video above. Guy who sold me mobile on Ebay said it shouldn't need 6 digit pin....
