Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360: Samsung's MacBook Air Killer?

Imagine if the Galaxy S24 Ultra was a laptop. It'd probably look something like this: The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360. That's a mouthful of a name for what is a pretty big, beastly computer. And despite its hefty proportions is also kinda Samsung's answer to the 15-inch MacBook Air. But unlike Apple's thin-and-light computer, the Galaxy Book also moonlights as a tablet, and offers extra flexibility beyond that.
It's got Intel's latest Core Ultra chips, a slick reversible OLED display and, naturally, an S Pen stylus you can snap to the lid. It's one of the few computers I've used that actually kinda dwarfs the footprint of my 16-inch MacBook Pro. But it does that while packing a weight that's actually closer to that of a MacBook Air.
I've used the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 for just over a month, and I think it could make a great addition to your life -- if you're the right kind of person.

I am one of the people who the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 was made for. In my workflow, having the 2 in 1 convertible form factor is invaluable. For me I could not think of upgrading without this design. I upgraded from a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 in 1 tablet and found it so compelling to use and so productive for business and personal use. And in fact, I was sure my next Windows PC was going to be a Microsoft Surface Pro. And the pure table form factor of the Microsoft Surface Pro is my preference over the 2 in 1 convertible laptop form factor in the 13-inch display size. But the beautiful 16-inch Samsung AMOLED screen size and light weight design allow for a better productivity and entertainment experience. Traditional laptops seem, in my experience now to be somewhat lacking in design and features. That said, I understand other users do not miss touch or pen enabled AMOLED display technology or table or tent mode positions or a number pad. I could not live without these enhancements of design and features.

An expensive ultrabook for a niche market that thinks a 16-inch convertible is useful! Having used the last-gen, I can say, never again. It is too heavy and unwieldy to use in tablet mode, and Windows on a tablet could be much better. I agree that 14 inches would be more sensible, but most regions do not sell that. Subjectively, I'm not too fond of 16-inch laptops with numeric keys, and this is no exception. I don't need them, so they are only there to frustrate me. The poor keyboard and trackpad on my Book3 Pro 360 add to the disappointment of this device. The display is fantastic, and the durability has been excellent, so it's not bad. But the essentials would steer me away from ever buying another one, especially the price and the so-so battery life. I suspect in future a 14-inch Snapdragon X-Elite version would be a better option for Samsung fans.

As someone owning a vivobook flip, i can only agree that tablet mode isn't that great for windows. I bought a tablet and use my laptop 99 percent of the time as a laptop 😂

@@petouser yes, the good thing about these convertibles are that you can still use them normally like a clamshell laptop.

i loved it when I tried it out in BB however lenovo has something similar for half the price and I can't for the life of me understand how Samsung came to their pricing decision. My daily driver is a samsung galaxy book 3 360 non pro and its fantastic, slightly meh battery life but overall a solid all around machine that is a joy to use. The 4 series just completely lost touch with reality. My next machine will probably be lenovo

I've been looking at the Samsung laptop lineup for so long that I have to wonder what value Samsung puts in a 360 tablet when the ultra has higher specs. I feel that those specs should be available to the people who want the foldable. And I wonder what issues they ran into where they couldn't put those specs into that 360 Pro.

Thanks for the reviewing. I need to make a decision between Book3 360 8GB/512GB i5 and Book4 360 16GB/512GB i5. There is a 200€ price difference, does book worth to pay it? Note: I dont play games.

Pen support, samsung integration with windows in this form factor, currently looking to buy and have looked at hundreds of options, the battery, os and form factor has this as my number 1 right now even if something new is released , this will have a better price and more to offer right now, I've been waiting for a bit, by August I will make a final decision
