Just as a sidenote to the people saying this is a security flaw. All you can do is purge the phone, it will tell you the reset is "unlawful" and require either the pin or a google account login that matches the phones original one. The phone I am trying to reset does have SamsungKnox though. And no I didn't steal it.. Former employee didn't unlock it before leaving the company.

Highly recommended. Basically, my phones screen was not working. It was blinking and couldn't see background. Couldn't enter passwords, nor Passcodes. This technique did it in less than 30 seconds. Not only did I bypass all the passwords, but my screen started to work again. I did hold it for 9 seconds, first try!

If you cant get the recovery menu up, it might be worth trying again with developer tools turned on. It worked for me :)

I received a used Galaxy Note 10 Plus. What I don't get, is that the phone still know and requires a pin, or a google account, after a factory reset. Is the phone still holding the google username and pass? The phone was asking for a pin as well. Thanks for the instructions.

This didn't work for me, I reset cache and data an during the setup I get to the point where I do my Gmail email and password, then after that it still wants to know what password I used to lock the device. I tried every password I know. I can't skip anything cuz it keeps telling me I'm not authorized
