Battery is pretty good. I am getting 9.5 hours screen on time from 102%. This is with everything maxed out including always on display, video background, QHD, 120hz all on.

Just to clarify something on the AI features, you get the option to run some of them locally on the phone not everything is cloud based. Cloud based give you more information to draw from but at the expense of speed and privacy. Also regarding the Ti , i agree on the weight point but aluminium was already light . It was supposedly for better damage resistance not a weight reduction like on the IPhone vs Stainless steel.

Thanks for the feedbacks on the phone, I think the AI features are not as gimmicky, the live translation will always be the live translation, but only better and better due to the nature of current AI implementation itself. The only disruption will be hardware, and 7 years sounds a fairly good time to see real improvement hardware wise

Things Samsung missed out on: - Faster charging. Other phones have had faster charging for years. - Magsafe style charger - Larger battery capacity - Much better camera processing - Slightly larger screen (personal preference) - Better exterior design. Titanium is cool but theres no wow factor. Im not a fan of how the edges of the phone are. - More front facing camera features - More operating system improvements. Its faster, now they can improve features and OS animations. They couldve went harder on this. - The vivid mode was fine on the S22/S23 ultra and they messed it up. - Slimmer bezels. They took away the curved edges which gave a more futuristic look, so in exchange they couldve worked to make the bezels slimmer. - A personal assistant thats actually good to use. I suspect a chatgpt style LLM with voice AI is coming soon that will interact with your phones functionality.

Not with no custom exynos chip it ain’t. Once they go back to snapdragon or if the rumors are true and they make their own chip with tsmc then yes then they will probably become a lot better. And even stock android to me is more buggy than one u.i lately. One ui hasn’t lagged but stock has been having issues according to countless people. From my experience Samsungs last longer and don’t deteriorate fast like pixels. I had two pixels when they still had snapdragon and even then they were piles of crap batteries got bad fast.

I was waiting for the note line to have a definitive design back when they were merging the not series with the S series. Now seeing the s24 ultra just makes me excited for later like the s28 ultra maybe. Good to see your content man. I always watch your videos after i buy the product. The S23 ultra was 850 on prime day last year. I considered it but just didn't need it or wanted to spend the money. I don't like curved screens or the lack of headphones jacks on phones with high bit rate audio with advanced dacs.

Coming from the s23 ultra to the s24 ultra not many reviewers have talked about the feel in had,the weight is just one gram lighter but the reality isnit feels lighter as the weight balance has shifter its spread out more and feels less top heavy.

I had to switch my esim from an iPhone, it was an seamless easy process. At least for me it was. I know everyone's experience is different but it was really easy! No different than switching over your phone in normal circumstances.

Samsung makes an awesome smartphone. Using the S 23 Ultra over the last year was pretty impressive it’s like having 3 devices in 1 really. Myself I recently dumbed it down to daily my iPhone 14 Pro. My next device is undecided at the moment 🤷‍♂️

I have all features on and can get through the day easily tbh. If had 8.5 hours SOT on average and finish the day with about 20 to 30 percent left. Starting the day at about 9 or 10am and The the end of the day being 11 or 12 pm. I agree though that they can fit sure bump up battery capacity. Can't wait to see what they do with the s26 series or even the fold 6

Android overall is so much more fun than iPhone. My 13 just sits now lol but it was cause I wanted to give it a try it’s just too useless for me and cell signal is worse than any android. And iOS is definitely not without bugs or lags. The s23 ultra we have has been lag free for a whole year which my 13 the first or second year wasn’t. Titanium is a stronger metal than aluminum, with a stronger strength to weight ratio. So it does have those benefits going for it right there, more durable, which will make the frame stronger.

Biggest selling point for me was flat screen. Ai is cool but nothing special to me. Now the Samsung photo app has mamy editing tricks that google photos doesn't. You should do a video showing those. I think most people would be surprised.

I've been surprised by the battery on the base s24. 7 hours sot on average on cellular data. Adaptive brightness, adaptive refresh rate and aod on for new notifications only. Original aod, not the new mode.

@TechOdessey Samsung used to make the smaller version of it, cus I had a Note 10, they got rid of the smaller version to merge the Note Plus (now known as Ultra) with the S line up. The smaller version wasn't as technically good (smaller battery, worse camera etc.) as the plus model, but it was light as hell and the ergonomics were good. I now have the S24u but my Note 10 still works perfectly.

I am currently using my Note 10 plus also. It is still working but I see it slowing down now and it's very glitchy so I know I'm going to have to get a new phone sometime this year. I'm going to wait for the iphone 16 to be released and decide after.

@@kendregab7328 yeah I haven't Daily drived my Note for a while, it did start to slow down a little, but I had to use it for a bit last yr when my Fold phone went in for repair and it reminded me how nice it was to have a light compact phone. If anything the colours on my Note look better than the colours on the S24u, but my main gripe with the smaller Note was the camera. After having that and a folding phone I'm used to having phones with little battery life, so s24u feels like a blessing in that department.

Paid 400 for my s24 ultra 512/12 after i traded in the s23 ultra 256/8 version.Also got a free samsung case and screen protecters and a galaxy watch 6 which ive sold for 150.So thats a 250 pound upgrade for double the storage,more ram,a new battery,Titanium build quality and better screen glass protection,snapdragon gen 3,more useful camera's and two years warrenty.Also the flat screen and higher brightness.To me its a worthwhile upgrade.

Good afternoon from India! Hey, has there been any changes to the voice typing experience on the s24 ultra? I have the s23u and the voice typing is pretty terrible compared to gboard "faster voice typing". One issue...for some reason the "faster voice typing" option doesn't show up if there is an India SIM in the phone. I'm losing sleep over it ;) Fast and accurate voice typing is a game changer for people who input a lot of text on a daily basis. Any thoughts?

Yes definitely would like see the recording of your video on the s24 ultra. S 24 ultra is a machine, I agree with you , that it's the most complete phone. It's not going to please everyone, but if have one you will know what it is capable of. Not every feature is 100% but every feature is 80 to 90 percent complete, which other phones don't have.

Great content. Yes, please do a video using the s24 ultra. Know that said. As for the titanium. The reason the titanium is lighter on the 15pro max is because they are comparing it to the stainless steel frame of the 14pro max, as we're the s23 ultras frame is armor aluminum, so of course there won't be much of a weight change. I just hope they used more than 2 bucks worth of titanium in their frame, not like apple did. So when do you think the s23 ultra will get the 1UI 6.1 update 🤔. And once again, sorry to hear about your mom.

I got the vegan leather case as a freebie from Samsung for pre-ordering. For me it's just still too bulky for a phone as wide as this. I'm instead ordering one of those super thin aramid fibre cases. I want to get a screen protector but I don't want to ruin the anti-glare. The only anti-glare screen protector right now is samsungs (also a freebie) which are made of film.

I have to disagree with AI not being the big selling point. While i do agree that its impact isn't as big as the screen, camera changes, and S-Pen, AI is the hot word right now. ChatGPT, DALL-E, Midjourney, etc. From a marketing standpoint, that's the way to go. As for the reaction about Samsung not doing processing on the phone, the expectation is different from the Pixel and Samsung fans. Fans from the Pixel expect it to be on the phone because they have an AI focus using the Tensor chips they have. Samsung, while they have NPUs, has not focused on AI as much until now. Plus Samsung is letting you carry out some AI processing on the phone itself if you prefer.

Honestly I could careless about the Pixel Ai being done in the cloud thing. It's was more so certain features not being on the the base 8 that should be. That problem doesn't exist on the S24 as far as I know.

I think the device is a great phone and well upgrade to the s23 ultra. I tested both of them side by side and two things that at first hand i felt are great. The noticeable less screen glare and the way the spen feels and writes ( for some reason it feels way more responsive then the s23ultra). The other imporvements are also great, i love the flat screen because it does avoid lots of phantom touches protects it a bit more from drops. I have had phones with curve screens and they all have the same issues. One thing i want to mention is that this device is not for every user honestly spending money on a device that will not be use fully doent make sense.

I've had this phone for a week now. No huge gripes except for the vibrancy of the colors. The color saturation is so low the colors seem dull. But I think I'll get used to it unless there's an update. Besides that it gets an A+ in every other column.

I would agree on this, I heard it's from the glass they used that reflects the light back by 75%. All in all I took my phone off the charger at 245pm and I'm at 50% 12 hours later.

I was calling out this phone’s AI features, security and privacy concerns from day one in your comments and elsewhere 😅 To summarise, imagine touting Snapdragon Gen3 chip as the “AI Chip”, then instead of using that chip, have content using AI sent to Samsung servers, and they want you to pay for this “service”. Don’t worry if you didn’t upgrade from a older Samsung, you are already part of the ecosystem and your AI features will be sent to you presently, you too will need to pay for them in the future.

I upgraded from the s23 ultra the flat screen was the main factor especially after i just installed a whitedome tempered glass screen protector on my wifes s23 😮ultra.colors arent as vivid as the s23 ultra but im ok with that its still a beast of a phone. All the exclusive colors and that purple look like they just slapped a sticker on the back... they don't have the sheen like the yellow, grey and black. Always appreciate your take, Adam. I've had mine for less than three days and it really is a game changer, the ai is great in some ways and still needs refinement in other ways... but overall I love it. I did upgrade from the S23Ultra, but that was only because I was able to do a return on my s23ultra at the tail end of the return period. So no money lost... just got a 2-month trial with android and can't imagine going back to Apple ever!

Titanium yellow is probably the best of the colors you can get from a carrier. Black and grey I’ve had so much so wanted something different. And yeah the blue and orange and green from Samsung ain’t as nice to me as the yellow since the yellow is like a shiny gold in person.

My s22 is definitely more vibrant but when I'm don't have them next to each other for some reason this screen looks more amazing than yhe s22 ultra. Btw sorry for the loss of your mom...

It is my understanding that titanium is better with heat management. SoC's are getting more and more powerful, with that power comes more heat. Yes, they expanded the vapor chamber , the Titanium frame absorbs part of that heat, moving it away from the Soc and battery. BTW, I upgraded from a S23u, it only cost me $275 with all the tricks I use to bring down the price. Having the 5x camera, flat panel, Gorilla Armor glass ( crazy good outdoors) were my deciding factors to upgrade. I love it, rocking the Samsung exclusive Titanium Orange. It is beautiful!

Titanium is actually worse for heat dissipation. We saw this already with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and its overheating issues when it launched. And wow. $275 to upgrade is a steal!

Yeah I heard that too about it being bad but they have been saying the s24 ultra doesn’t get hot tho so I guess it’s doing better than the iPhone. I’m getting titanium yellow that’s like a gold yellow
