Nah, Xiaomi 15 ultra is yet to come and Chinese guys promise a periscope with a sensor a tab smaller than samsung's main camera, f 1.8 telephoto module, 5000+ battery, 90w charging, large vapor chamber for top tier cooling, ultra sonic finger print scanner and the display that can like an iphone adjust it's refresh rate to an fps of a content on screen. Vivo X200 Ultra promises kinda the same thing, but it will also change the main camera's focus length to more "artistic" 35mm like one used in iphone 4 or most big cameras. Chinese phones will feature bigger batteries, better camera hardware, same, but still fast charging and better cooling solutions for a snap 8 elite.

For me, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a victim of its predecessor,the S24 Ultra. Which while a very good device, the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL were on its level. And with there not being any drastic differences between the S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra, the Pixel still holds its own against Samsung's newest flagship. Imo, as long as the Pixels continue to release new features and perform at or even better than the 9 pro and 9 pro XL (which sounds like we have better on the way), for me it's pretty hard for the Galaxies to compete with that. And yeah, Samsung has all of that customization but when I really think about it, I dont really use any of that, though it is nice to have. But Pixels are still Android! So any kind of customization I want to do, I still can. Not having all of those convoluted extra menus and apps that i will never use but can't delete is nice. I get Samsung is trying to put their own flavor into Android. But they have an entire app store and apps that can do the same thing as the google apps that already come on the phone. Lastly, it takes Samsung phones so long to get updates because of having to implement one UI. Which by itself isn't a bad thing, since it just signifies that Samsung likes to take time to work out all of the bugs first. I just hate how long I have to wait for the newest version of Android to come to my premium Android handset. Those are my thoughts
@mooseratt10 күн бұрын
So you think the 9 pro being able to hold its own against a device that came out 9 months earlier, reflects badly on Samsung? Make that make sense, how is that not a plus that device is outperforming a new flagship released just shy of a year later? S25 ultra on the other hand is underwhelming for an upgrade, but we're living in the days of smartphone hitting their ceiling for now.
@donavanboykin94899 күн бұрын
@@mooseratt I don't think my comment communicates the statement you're claiming that I made. My whole point was summarized in the first paragraph; if the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL are just as good as the S24 Ultra, then they are as good as the S25 Ultra as well. @@donavanboykin9489 and then you went on to say that if the pixel can produce equally performing phone, or better performing, then you can't see samsung being able to compete. I'd like to see a comprehensive comparison of how Samsung's display might not be the best screen out there. Previously, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra had some screen issues with vividness, dull washed out colors, and grainy screen. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 pro and the Pixel 9 pro both came equipped with the latest M14 OLED. The S24 Ultra stayed with the M13 OLED. And now, the S25 Ultra has also not upgraded to the M14 OLED, and instead has stayed with the M13+ OLED. From comparisons in a retail store, I felt the colors in the M14 displays of Apple and Google were more richer in color, more even with viewing angles, brighter, and the text in Apple display seemed to be cleaner (than the S24 Ultra). Although, I have to mention that my comparison was only on the OS, home screen, camera app, and web browser, and not on videos with HDR. I would like to know what a detailed test would show amongst these 3 phones, as well as theories on why Samsung themselves don't use their best display technologies.

I'm not a big gamer anymore so the processor is not a priority, but it seems to be fast enough as I have no issues. I haven't had any overheating issues like other Pixels from the past. I am really looking forward to subsequent models if they continue on this track

As a Pixel 9 pro xl owner I would say Pixel's main problem is the fact that it lacks system stability and battery life especially for the first year. I hope Samsung won't make the same mistake.

Seems there is little to no change hardware wise. New CPU and a RAM bump (even though S10 had a 12GB RAM version too). Same main camera sensors. Same battery. There is better hardware from Chinese brands these days.

I saw the presentation and the AI thing didn't impress me at all. I've owned a pixel 9 pro XL since August last year and I'm very used to using gemini. I'm sorry but this presentation of the new Samsung didn't impress me at all. The pixel has cameras with less pixels and the images look great. I expected more from the Samsung s25. The colors do seem beautiful to me but as for the software, I think it's worth keeping an s24 ultra and waiting for new updates.

Pixel 7 to pixel 9 is worth to upgrade 👌🏼 As a pixel user, by the time im passing some Electronics store where the samsungs are blowed all around, im taking the touch on samsung and Immediately feeling the difference in software. Its just feeling way too much of everything. It's like you going around market and the sellers are trying to sell you everything that is available. It's just too much. Stick with the genuine 🙌🏼

I love Samsung and still have my s10 plus and s23 ultra but man I miss DJ Koh because these days it's way too incremental compared to 2019 Samsung they have serious hardware competition from the Chinese phones like Huawei, Honor , Oppo , Xiaomi and Vivo . I'm a Samsung fan but sometimes we have to be honest that we need more hardware like 2019 Samsung. I will say the Snapdragon Elite is cool but this is too incremental compared to the Chinese competition and im a Samsung fan but we have to be honest

The Samsung's camera is useless if you need to take photos of moving objects. If you are into still life photography, get a Samsung. If you have kids and/or pets, get a Pixel. p.s. the anti-glare is useless since everyone puts a screen protector.

My prediction is that Google and Samsung will soon part ways, with Google emerging superior. Samsung will then be in our rearview mirror because of its poor customer service, its failure to stand behind its products, and its numerous internal issues. In the not-too-distant future, we will look back and say that Samsung revolutionized the smartphone industry but lost its way.

I will give Samsung this, the ultra is a little less ugly now. I love Samsung and have lots of their stuff. It's great stuff but if you want just screaming fast get a OnePlus 13 for half the price

You can make an argument that Google certainly had some growing pains with the previous Pixels, but have you actually spent time with the Pixel 9 Pro? It's a really great phone.
