This thing is amazing and we absolutely love it. Only half of that is because of the item. The other half is because it's you. You bring us joy with every video and it was compounded this month with how the effort on display was for us. While she commented on the purple sparkles at the beginning, it took my wife until the Seahawks comment to make the connection and she forced me to pause. We're looking for a good place to display it when it's not in use. Thank you so much!

Ah, I loved seeing this! I carve spoons, lovespoons particularly, and I also happen to enjoy the look of the 'lost wood' wood/resin pieces - perhaps I'll give that a try as well. FWIW, when I first learned to carve spoons, I asked, rather petulantly I'll admit, my mentor why we carved the whole thing, rather than using a bandsaw and bandsander to knock it down at least SOME. And he said that while we were learning, he wanted us to practice the technique with handtools to build that muscle memory up, but that he felt that once we had that skill in our hat, it was just as valid to use any and every tool at our disposal -- so I'd share his sentiment and say that your spoon carving method is perfectly fine! Lovely job, Peter!

Peter, if you ever have to handle curing overheated resin again, may I suggest getting some heat resistant gloves to have under your usual gloves? I used to handle rotisserie work some years back and we had what were basically just some cheap, thick, plain cotton gardening gloves. It wasn’t perfect protection, but it made a huge difference and allowed me to handle the skewers just moments after cooking had finished.

Oh man, prepare to have glitter in your shop for the next decade. I wore a purple glittery dress to my homecoming dance, went in my friend's minivan, and 9 years later when they sold the van, there was still purple glitter in there! Nevertheless, the spoon came out great and I really dig how some of the glitter settled onto the wood, that was the first thing I noticed.

They've been in the news for being scummy for *6 years* now. I hope he makes wiser choices and does even the most cursory background check before the next sponsor he signs with. 774k subscribers are counting on him to do better. Regardless of what other people are saying or doing, that is what I am going to continue to do. Because I miss enjoying his videos. He's a good guy.
