This was long overdue... I couldn't believe the difference in time between 6.1 on my Tab S9 Ultra and my Z Fold 4. Though, the AI features were a nice surprise. I didn't think we would get them.

You know what’s crazy, you’ve had your fold 4 longer than your pixel fold. Yet, you haven’t had any problems.

Yep. It's hard to say exactly what that means though. There are plenty of Pixel Fold users who haven't had issues and there are plenty of Z Fold 4 users who had issues a long time ago. That's the nature of hardware like this. There is that element of uncertainty...

I have the fold 4. Been likng the features so far. With the Samsung keyboard, there is a 3rd option in certain apps like WhatsApp or Google messages that allows you to use AI to translate the convos. Very cool.

I noticed that the UI refresh rate has dropped since the update. The home screen and app drawer is noticeably chopy particularly when opening and closing folders.

Technically, a single "object eraser" function is in a different menu (not under the AI stars) and that should work well without replacing object by object, did you try that to the same picture? But I agree, very funny 😄

Yes, there is a context aware fill-type eraser there as well. To be clear though, Generative Edit is meant to be able to fill in gaps on the image, whether that's because I moved something or removed it. There's a reason "Erase" is an option.

Got rid of the Pixel Fold and went back to the Z Fold 4. Its wasn't much of a downgrade.

I edited a picture of a trex in the middle of a river and removed it and it replaced it with a boat hahahahah. Good to know we had boats millions of years ago

My Z fold 4 worked just perfectly until last month when I updated the software to the newest version and all of a sudden it started malfunctioning with the inner screen not turning on anymore,it worked because when it was folded I could see the inner screen show the Samsung logo when I turned it on and off but when I opened the phone the inner screen stopped working,I was using the phone like that only using the outer screen but after a week the outer screen stopped working also so I sent it in to Samsung and explained what happened after the last update and they said the screen needed to be replaced and it was out of warranty,they want to change me 750 dollars for a new screen even when it was clearly their software update that damaged my Z fold 4,beware of Samsung faulty products.

Hello "folders", I used to own a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 but I decided to sell it because it couldn't make or upload KZbin shorts. The KZbin app didn't show the "create short" button. Does it work on the 4, 5 or 6? Thanks for answering

Interestingly samsung left the original "object eraser" in the edit drawer which works faster than the Gemini eraser

For Pixels, it's Magic Eraser and Magic Editor. Same situation as Object Eraser and Generative Edit.

On the voice recorder I don't have the transcribe option my speech to text.. Weird. Nevermind this is the annoying part of androids you have to update via the Samsung app store instead of the Google play app store 🙄🙄

Mostly fine. There's a teeny crack in the crease that doesn't seem to be growing. My wife was using it for a while without issue. Hard to spot it.

It's unclear which ai features will require a subscription, but Circle to Search should not be included in that.

Would you pick the fold 4 over your pixel fold if you didn’t have the issues you had with services. Wait which one Samsung, Open or Google if you had to pick one fold and stick with it?

Brand new device, I'm still picking the Pixel. I'm just doing so with insurance. Based on the stories I've seen, that would be my default with any foldable. Don't trust Samsung or OnePlus either. Too many bad reports.

@@scaryifliteral last one. are you picking the google fold over the one plus open too? They all have some many good things about them but I'm trying to get rid of phones so many distractions. lol... I'm leaning towards just keeping the fold.
