Hi Dan, love your videos. They’re so informative. Was wondering if you could do a video explaining how to acquire a claim in BC, the cost, the legalities of mining on a claim, an explanation of where panning is simply open to the public, and maybe even a link to a ‘claim map’. Thank you.

Nice explanation of the change in the river layout due to flood events. At 3:19 the swale coming down the hill (middle of the screen) looks like a nice low pressure change as runoff water would hit the main channel. 👍🏻🤠

Dan the man, I was involved in a survey of the bottom of a certain river where it meets the ocean which was potentially related to the late great Slumac Jack and his lost mine. The spanish were in there with 3 galeons. Story goes that 3 ships tied abreast to each other received chunks in a metal framed leather lined basket lowered from the slopes of this particular area. I also know of an elder around the Keremeos area where I lived for 15 years where an individual would walk in a particular direction and come back every time with a nugget. Im currently inn Langley BC and it would be totally cool to sit down and share these and more stories as seeing you cover this would be incredible.

I would love to have a place like that here in Georgia USA, but not that lucky as the government regulates where and with what you can use. My area is pan and shovel only as well as limited places that are public without joining a club.
