The feels. Poor Mickey. My heart broke with him. "What if I'm someone I don't want around" I often think of the self hatred he must have had coming to terms with being gay, given his upbringing. This was Ian post his bipolar diagnosis also. The way they described Monica during the early seasons would have been his internal labelling. "What if I'm someone you don't talk about." I never forgave Ian for this. A fault of the writers. "I'm falling again, I'm falling." Mickey after crossing into Mexico alone. Forced to pull off the road as the tears impair his vision. Holding his head in his hands, letting the emotions come. Alone. Heart impaled. Dressed as a woman, his biggest fear. Ian, the man he loved married to someone else. Rejected. In pain. "What am I now?" Both for S5 when Ian was with Monica and Mexico. I have head canoned a story in Mexico for Mickey that answers that question for him. "What am I now?" A story that would have been much better than S8 Ian. Ian would have been asking this of himself too at the beginning of s6. No Mickey, adjusting to the meds. Becoming Monica, his only future prospect.

This is so beautiful. I had to stop the video a few times to just take it in and also because it made me realize a few things about them I didn't before. I know its been a while since you made this video but if you're still looking for song requests and are interested, I have always thought Taylor Swift's "The Way I Loved You" works for them. With Trevor being the too perfect boyfriend and Mickey being the one Ian can't get over in relation to the lyrics. I'm surprised I haven't seen that before. Also Taylor Swift's "Afterglow" song fits them so perfectly.
