This was not detected until almost a week later (duct had a clip on the severed end or I likely would not be here). Long, expensive road to recovery after many more tests and procedures plus major surgery to build a work around for the bile duct function. I didn't have any gallbladder symptoms until it went gangrene. Emergency surgery to remove it resulted in it rupturing in my abdomen, spilling contents everywhere. 8 hours on the op table to clean it up. A year later (2023) I had hepatic/liver abscesses and sepsis. A week in the hospital and they removed 4 more stones from my liver bile ducts and had to remove a bit of the liver. A year later, I sit here, with the same exact symptoms that have returned, but no apparent abscesses at this time. I feel like I am being told to wait until they can "see something"...I'm anemic, elevated ALP (200) and nauseated, pale icky stools, with nightly itchness and fevers...but because they cannot see anything on a CT or MRi, I'm being told not to worry, that they'll keep an eye on things come back in 6 months for another scan. My God...I'm trying to head this off at the pass, but I'm at a loss

Thanks for the information. I had a GB attack after doing uninformed intermittent fasting. I chose to keep my gall bladder because everything was back to normal after the large stone passed. I ate less fatty foods and more veg. Two years later, I took the medicine for the other big ‘c’ after getting it from a relative’s exposure. Gallstones is one of the side effects of the medication. Hospital let me sit in pain for a day, passing the stones, having pancreatitis before giving painkillers. Again, they tried to railroad me into removal surgery and something inside told me it wasn’t right. Even the nurses who cared for me quietly advised not to do it. I went home after arguing with teams(yes, TEAMS) of doctors coming by to pressure me into surgery. I realized surgeries were down and the docs wanted to really perform one for their residents😂. Got a second opinion from a GI doc who prescribed some stone breaking drug and another surgeon. By then it’s been months and I was back to normal. That was nearly three years ago. Eating better and staying away from unnecessary medications for me has helped tremendously. I’ve only had my seasonal allergies and one cold during all of this time since 2020.

Great info! Wish I would’ve had this info before my gallbladder was removed. I’ve had many problems since. Was having lots of pain so I went gluten free and that was amazing for me. Within few weeks I got so much better with pain. That was beginning of Dec. Still had lots of stomach issues with stuff I ate. I’ve been eating healthy for months. And was eating somewhat healthy when I had it removed. I watch ALL ingredients I use. I don’t do seed oils and cook everything. I recently gave up most sugars, like honey, coconut sugar, dates etc. also, gave up cheeses. Doing goat cheese tho. I’ve been doing fermented stuff like Keifer, sour krout, quality Greek yogurt and bone broth. Started taking Seed a month ago too. Started with castor oil liver packs nightly few weeks ago and I’m seeing great improvement on my gut. I decided to go to doctor because I’m not digesting my food. I have good bowl movements but not digested. Did blood work and pancreas numbers are high. Had Ct scan and they didn’t see anything. Had recheck two weeks later and number was a bit better but still high. So now I go see gastrologist next week. I’ve been second-guessing that decision, but I am not sure how to handle the non-digested foods, although I’m feeling better and other ways, and I can feel my gut healing. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and heal my gut up, but I just can’t seem to figure out the undigested food in my bowel movements movements. Would you have a suggestion for undigested food? Thank you so much for this great info in the video. 😊

I'm confused by what you mean by undigested food? If it's not meat or fat, most of that stuff is loaded with fiber that is not digestible, or it needs cooking and lots of chewing to even get close to digestible. Watch some carnivore doctor channels. They have had interviews with colostomy bag patients who went carnivore simply because undigested non carnivore foods were screwing up their bags. Which is also what happens in the colon.
@wendytreft41529 ай бұрын
@@tradermunky1998 my bowel movements have pieces and up until months ago. That doesn’t seem normal or okay to me, but I’ve never experienced that and I’m 51. I eat lots of meats. My husband is a hunter so we eat tons of venison. We, also, buy other meats to change it up. I eat some lettuce and veggies and I eat a decent amount of fruit. Thank you for your response. 😊

@@wendytreft4152 Ah. It might just be you have become more efficient at processing and eliminating what you eat. If it's not meat/fat/water it technically rots which turns it brown and more mushy and less distinguishable in the stool. Less time in the intestines means less time to rot.

I did fine for about 10 years and then I started having issues at the same time as perimenopause started. It got worse as I entered actual menopause. My doctor recommended taking digestive enzymes. Wow! I’m always learning more and more from you than I ever have from all my doctors throughout my life. I have had stomach issues since I can remember. It started more so when I fell off my back deck steps on a rainy slippery Sunday morning. I hit the 8th step, busted 3 ribs, and collapsed a lung. In shock even drove myself to hospital. Returned back to work, 2 1/2 months later, but was still having pain on my right side. Everyone kept telling me it’s just your ribs are still healing, but the pain kept getting worse. Three hospitals later, only one suspected it was my gallbladder. They referred me to see this gallbladder specialist, with all these appointments, it seems like it was forever of getting any help for this. Omg eight months later, the doctor says to me, I’ll never forget this, oh I see you’re still holding your side? I’m thinking, REALLY?? Did he just say that? I’ve been in agonizing pain working through work with this, and he says I see you’re still holding your side? He says because your gallbladder is only working 3%, and it has to come out.. I still remember that pain. This is why I do things naturally, to what’s put on this Earth to heal our bodies. I just wish you were around back then for me .. IBS/ulcerative colitis. I can’t have gluten or dairy. I have huge gut problems to the point of not wanting to eat. So it sounds like I need to start with Bile salts then first? If that doesn’t work then, TUDCA. THANK YOU very much, for helping, and educating us on getting to the root cause, to live our lives pain free. 🥰👍

For anyone watching these gallbladder removal videos make sure you understand WHY you're having the gallbladder removed before avoiding the procedure. For instance, if you have biliary dyskinesia you are already experiencing inefficient or no bile + swollen gallbladder issues. The gallbladder removal can be an improvement because it might allow bile back into your system that was previously blocked and it removes the swelling issues that occurred.
@pam53894 ай бұрын
I had biliary dyskinesia and it has reversed ( I had a recent hida scan and it's fully functional again 🙏). I also don't have sludge anymore just small gallstones. But I was told by a surgeon that they didn't know what causes it and that many patients that have their gallbladder removed with this still have the same problems after their gallbladder is removed. So I took his advice and didn't get it out. It was over a year of taking digestive enzymes , ox bile, different bitters and nac but I still have it. Yes I do still have gallstones and had a recent bile duct blockage but no infection and it worked it's way out . I have very small gallstones.

My surgeon said he there's really no scan or test to tell if the gallbladder truly must be removed. It comes down to point where the patient is experiencing frequent debilitating gallbladder attacks. I saw him multiple times, where he told me he wouldn't take it out. I finally tearfully begged him to remove it, and he removed it the same day. US healthcare system is awesome in that way! After the surgery, he said my gallbladder was totally abscessed and could have gone septic within days. He said my condition was absolutely life threatening. I've had absolutely no detectable issues since the surgery. It's been the biggest upgrade to my life, ever!

I had my gallbladder removed maybe... 10 years ago? I had to be rushed to the ER about 5 times for gallbladder attacks (stones)... so painful, one doctor lady told me the pain is worse than giving childbirth. I had a laparoscopic surgery and I've had no side effects. I can eat anything. OK, maybe I digest food a little bit slower, since I now rely on the constant drip, rather that purging all of it from the gallbladder at once. But honestly, I couldn't be happier. I hear that some may suffer from prolonged pain, but I'm all good. You might want to eat a just a little bit smaller portions at a time, but that's beneficial for everyone. I don't really watch for anything different than before. I guess I got lucky with a good doctor and a good surgery. If you're dealing with the option now, I would of course opt for the stone breakup if it can be successful, however. Surgery should always be the last option.

8 years ago I had a severe gallbladder attack that was beyond painful and I was rushed to the ER. I didn't know what was wrong with me? I only knew that the pain from 1-10 was a 12! The Doctor in the ER said that I was having a gallbladder attack and that I needed to have the stuck stones that was causing the severe pain removed. He said that my gallbladder needed to be removed and to make an appt. with a specialist, So I did, but the specialist I was recommended to would not answer a few simple questions that I had. That threw up red flags to me! The first simple question I asked him was; What would happen if I decide to keep my gallbladder and eat a more healthier diet? The second question was; What type of diet or complications to expect if I decide to have my gallbladder removed? The third question I asked the Dr. was; Wouldn't my liver have to work overtime due to the missing gallbladder that helps digest our fats?! I was very polite when asking these 3 simple questions to him that he refused to answer and said back to me with a loud boastful voice and a snare on his face; It's Your Life Do What You What With It! I said politely back to him; You know your right! My discernment that the Good Lord gave to me answered all my questions for me and He said to run!!! I'm So grateful that I listened. I am so very Thankful that I still have my gallbladder. The specialist is use to people being sheep to the slaughter and just doing what they tell them to do without batting an eye because it's Big money for them. I believe most Doctors today despise critical thinkers that like to do their research first. Now when I feel my gallbladder acting when I eat something it doesn't like, which is very few, I drink lots of organic apple juice, with fresh squeezed organic lemons and Braggs vinegar, I will sometimes down two teaspoons of Epsom salt when I feel like a bad one coming on and also rub castor oil over the lower half of my stomach area, I then place a piece of plastic wrap over the area I rubbed the castor oil because castor oil is very sticky before placing a warm water bottle over the area while laying down resting for 20 minutes or so to let the castor oil do it's magic. I also do a parasite and gallbladder flush every year or so. I'm so Thankful I still have my gallbladder. Thank You Dr. Berg for all your valuable information and being such a Blessing to all of us! God Bless!

Easy to remove stones, done over the weekend ,Olive oil ,grapefruit juice ,magnesium sulfate,and milk thistle extract ,I bought a book that describes the protocol when a doctor was about to book me for surgery .Andreas Mortiz's protocol

Even a 4 cm stone and sludge?
@jean-paulsignoret54679 ай бұрын
@@katylwi I think that after reading the book if you feel that it may be too much then part of the protocol is to consume for a period of time before some apples juice or fruit that help to soften the blow ,malic acid as well can be used

Dr Berg thank you so much your content has improved my life and health over the years, even things I’ve brought up to my PCP and didn’t get much help with, especially related to overall gut health.

After my severe gallbladder attack I had someone tell me to take apple cider vinegar. I did and it has corrected the problem. My husband will wake up in the middle of the night haven't gotta go letter attack I give him a dose of apple cider vinegar with honey and utter and within 20 minutes the pain is all gone and he's all better. So I really highly recommend apple cider vinegar with the mother in it
