Great honest review. I get the impression that hand cramping would become an issue after a while.

Definitely, I only use the reef delete when dealing with small numbers of Aptasia or other nems. Cam

It’s definitely not a silver bullet for a big infestation, but there are certainly times when it’s a great piece of kit to have on hand. Cam

Im interested in how it works on corals that have become pests ie gsp growing where you don't want it etc

I bought this when it was first released and it’s brilliant as soon as I see one in my tank I charge it up pop the glasses on and zap it’s gone, if it’s a larger one that I find it will take two or three attempts but so much easier and successful than the liquid options
@GalleryAquaticaTV2 жыл бұрын
All of the ones I zapped in the video never came back. There was one in my display that also never came back after being zapped, and I’d been trying for months with different treatment methods without success until I used the reef delete. Cam

Значит эта штука помогает, спасибо вам за сторонее мнение. Но конечно у вас в Австралии цены просто огромные, 650$ 😵, у нас в России с доставкой из Германии обойдётся в 300€.

At that price, shops should rent these out.

I've had one for a year now and holding the button down for long periods kills your fingers, so much so you give up trying to kill the aptasia and then it spreads twice as fast. I have a big wrasse in there that will eat anything I put in there to control it...the button needed to be click on or of instead
@GalleryAquaticaTV2 жыл бұрын
The button definitely makes it hard to do serious numbers of Aptasia. I only use the reef delete when there’s only small numbers. Biological control is still my preference. Cam

I purchased one when they became available and I have used it quite a bit since then. I understand why for legal reasons they can't provide a trigger or button lock so one doesn't have to physically press the button for minutes at a time but I wish it came with one. I don't use the glasses. I just pay attention to where I am pointing the device. One of the plusses I find is that the device doesn't seem to allow the anemone to spread spores i.e the "babies" are killed along with the parent. I found that with Aiptasia X if one isn't careful, one can allow the anemones to spread. When I first put a new battery in the device I just press the button and look for the green light to ensure it is charged and like you said, if it is working you will see the nem quickly react to the light. Now if I had hundreds of nems, this isn't the product to use but for difficult to kill ones such as on the side of the glass or as you mentioned upside down this is quite effective.

Hello cam, kiss Ania, reef delete is All rigth for Majano ?
@GalleryAquaticaTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Philippe, yes it definitely works on Majano but I find they need a little more exposure time than Aptasia. Cam

What ever happened to the aiptasia tazer probes? I've just always used Aptasia X with great success.

Cam, do you think this could work against vermetid snails, or would their tube protect them?
@GalleryAquaticaTV2 жыл бұрын
I think it would work on some vermetids with short tubes, but I do plan to test this out. Cam

It's probably the worst bit of kit I've bought in 14 years in the hobby, i also got 30% off the price and still feel like i got ripped off.
