"#കാടാമ്പുഴയമ്മ" എന്ന പേരിൽ ഭഗവതി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇവിടത്തെ '#പൂമൂടൽ', '#മുട്ടറുക്കൽ' എന്നീ വഴിപാടുകൾ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്..
ഇവ നടത്തി പ്രാർഥിച്ചാൽ തടസങ്ങൾ മാറി ആഗ്രഹസാഫല്യം ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം
വൃശ്ചികമാസത്തിലെ തൃക്കാർത്തിക ഒഴികെ ഉത്സവമോ മറ്റാഘോഷങ്ങളോ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. എന്നാൽ എല്ലാ വർഷവും ധനുമാസത്തിലെ (ഡിസംബർ അവസാന ആഴ്ച) ഋഗ്വേദലക്ഷാർച്ചനയും അതോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് കഥകളി ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള കലാപരിപാടികളും നടക്കുന്നു. നൂറ്റെട്ട് #ദുർഗ്ഗാക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളി‍ൽ ഒന്നാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം. ഉപദേവതകളായി #ഗണപതി (അദൃശ്യസങ്കല്പം), #ശാസ്താവ്, #നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾ എന്നിവർ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ കുടികൊള്ളുന്നു. മലബാർ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന്റെ കീഴിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രഭരണം നടത്തിപ്പോരുന്നത്. #മലബാർ_ദേവസ്വം_ബോർഡിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള 1340 ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും വരുമാനമുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്.
