Prior to purchasing two +9 magazine extensions I had eight 16-round magazines that actually held 16 rounds. All of these magazines worked flawlessly. After installing the magazine extensions one magazine would hold 25 rounds while the other would only hold 24 rounds. During firing these magazines would fail to feed, constantly. I would disassemble, clean, and reassemble to no improvement. No other magazine had issues during this time. Finally, After only a few trips to the range the spring for the magazine holding 25 rounds failed. It would no longer push the follower to the top of the magazine feeding the last two rounds. Upon disassembly the spring had an extra bend, one that is quite severe. I have contacted Galloway precision, but they refuse to return the product or refund my money.

I've had one failure to feed from the +9, but it was one of those bottom of the barrel rounds with the slight possibility of some corrosion lol. Worked the second time though.

I use the +9 extensions for cheap USPSA practice and non-sanctioned matches where we can use our 22's. USPSA matches go by quantity and the more rounds the mags can hold, the less you have to reload.

This could still be a ccw with two 25s laying flat against you. Spring should be stretched a bit there’s not enough spring pressure

+9 dear goodness, that is MEAN! TX22 is a cheap gun until you get into everything you can add on to it. $300 gun with a $900 can, $200 stamp for the can, $75 worth of mag extensions, $200 for the competition conversion kit, $300 for a red dot... Is it all worth it? Hell if I know, but it sounds fun, so let's go.

Get the tx22 competition

Tx22 is an easier gun all around to afford. The only real reason to get the sr22 is to get a smaller concealed carry. By the time you add a threaded barrel if you can find only the non threaded model, you're in over $500 without extras. For $275 and that extra cash you could have plenty extra with this.

Guess it's all what you want I run optics on all my handguns and I have a .22lr suppressor so the threaded barrel is a big improvement vs the threaded adapter, you can always add a comp slide to a tx22 they are interchangeable but for me a extra $150 is way worth it, it's not always about being affordable man I mean if your into guns they are already expensive worse than drugs so say fuck it every once in awhile and spoil yourself lol the tx22 competition is flat out the best .22lr pistol on the market currently and its still under $500 new, if you can't swing a extra $150 maybe it's time for a new hobby

@@highspeed9518 For someone who owns his own suppressor, legally, has tested out and owned over a dozen .22 handguns, the tx22 is high on the list, but definitely not the best out there. Walther 1911 and the beretta 92/22 are so much better than the tx22 as far as quality and accuracy it isn't even funny. The TX22 only beats most guns because the price and magazine capacity. I mean, hate and act snooty all you want. Who said I could never afford that extra $150? IMO the tx22 comp is overrated and is now tainted with taurus fanboi hate...as exampled above. I made my statement giving legitimate feedback from personal experience. They asked sr22 or tx22...the sr22 is not really worth the extra money unless you want to conceal it or just want a higher quality pistol, and still then, there is better quality out there. I mean, I spent $400 on a walther 1911 and another $400 buying extra magazines and tinkering with it. I spent $1200 on a G35 setup, I even spend $200 on pieces of junk just to test them out. I'm sure you could say the same huh?

Cool video but honestly.. I'd rather stick with the extended clips that don't need remodeling.. and honestly it's only a 2 and 4 round difference.. a gun jamming up can literally cost your life depending on the situation.. and a 16 round spring is made to hold 16 rounds.. thats probably why it was jamming up.. because it wasn't made for 25 rounds

I just got the tandemkross +5. That's enough ridiculous mag extension for me. This thing screams hood rat in 22lr. Does it come w a follower shim to help feeding reliability? TK added one to their kit
