Gambhir is a good T20 coach. He has extensive coaching experience in IPL. But ODI and Tests are not his forte. India should have opted for split coaching approach.

Still BCCI is hesitant in appointing a specialist red ball coach like Laxman. ODI performance of the team is also not satisfactory under Gambir. Surely this is going to reflect in the champions trophy 2025. After some heartbreaking losses, only then they will decide it's time to go for a better coach.

Mix??? Are you insane. He has been shit. T20 VVS has been leading. Not sure why gambhir getting credit for it. ODIs he has lost first time series against SL. In Tests he has lost first time in 90 years 3-0 at home. BGT was a disaster. The dressing room has been broken. How much worse can it be?? Its not possible to be worse.

Gambir told the indian batters not to play spin well in SL series.He is the one behind Kohli disastrous form in tests for the last 5 years. I cant stand guys like you who are trying to blame the coach for the technical inabilities of Indian batters.I think you are the insane one here.

@ you just keep on saying the same thing without explaining how gambhir on his first tour affected the performce of batters against SL,NZ. How is he resposible for poor batting performance from Rohit,kohli despite Rahul,Jaiswal,NKR performed well in BGT?

Should never have been appointed in the first place. It is a well documented fact that GG did not get on with a lot of players in the IPL, there was bad blood and it no way would it go away , time to now move on Mr G and take it as an experience you would rather forget

I think Gautam has managed to build the worst ever Test team, given discipline and management of players scant respect, not given merit a chance to prove itself, ignored young players, in short has had a dismal record. Success in T 20s cannot be yardstick for success in Tests or 50 over games. infact it is counter productive. T 20s makes batting ill disciplined, and slogging cannot be used as a substitute for skill and aptitude. The hard work of Rahul Dravid I think has been destroyed and it will take a better man to rebuild the team.
