I do remember playing a little bit of this game with a family member. One of the things that sticks out to me the most was Green Lantern's sphere brutality. I knew Quan Chi was supposed to be DLC, but didn't know those other characters were planned as well!

Yeah Green Lantern’s brutality where he squishes you into a ball is one of the cool ones! I’m surprised Quan Chi wasn’t part of the roster to begin with, considering he’s in a lot of the story mode. Thanks for watching Mike!

The game lacked spectacle effects and some of the voice acting was rough. But the stages were good and the story was honestly exceptional. There was a great sense of care for both universes.

I remember hearing my cousin telling me about this game when it was announced and I thought he was lying for the longest time… until I saw the trailer. I really didn’t know what to think at the time. Thought this game is kinda frowned upon, this game at least revived the series and helped bring us Mortal Kombat 9. Also, I love your work, Don! You’ve got an amazing editing style and flow. The one thing I give this game credit too. Is that it’s the only fighting game that created cinematic cutscenes, and brought the birth of Injustice Gods Among Us.

They need to make a sequel. They learn their mistakes the first time. Sadly Kevin Conroy is no longer with us. I'll miss his voice a lot but still I would love to have a sequel. Maybe have Ra's al Ghul team up with Shinnok or A Super Deadly Alliance. Quan Chi,Shinnok, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn teamed up with Ra's al Ghul, Vandal Savage,Zod and Deathstroke. I know I could use stronger DC villains but I am trying to think if Villains that would team up and not backstab each other. Ra's being the Mastermind and Vandal also being super smart. Zod for his strength and military expertise,Deathstroke with enough firepower and skill to kill or take on anyone.

Not enough extra features in this game to justify getting it full price at the time. You just got towers, story mode, and practice if you were playing online. Which was a real bore as a kid.

In my option, this was the game that saved Mortal Kombat. Midway was on its way being shut down and working with WB getting the Dc licence must have helped WB buy some of the rights/properties like rampage and Mortal Kombat. Plus, this game has a Killer version of Sonya Blade!

But without new series or risks I feel it’d start getting stale and the developers will lose steam. Even just making a completely new fighting game could help them kinda refresh and take more time to fully make a new Injustice or MK2. Something really fresh for both series

I honestly enjoyed this crossover between the DC universe and the Mortal Kombat universe. I think that this was an interesting story, and it continued to be referenced in some later Mortal Kombat games and the DC injustice games.

This game was so undeservedly hated. Say what you will about the lack of fatalities or whatever, the combat and gameplay were still great and the dc characters felt right in place along with the mk cast. Plus the stage hazards were exciting

I know this game has a bad reputation, and proably rightly so, but it was the game that first introduced me to Mortal Kombat, so i'll always have a soft spot for it. Without this game we may have never gotten Injustice and I wouldn't have ever played Mortal Kombat 9 (my all time favorite fighting game).

I never bought this one. Always played it with my friends. Raiden was my least favorite in this one. I favored the spam happy style of Deathstroke and The Joker. 🤪 I did play the story mode in Afghanistan, and while original, it lacked good voice acting to really drive it home for me.

when i was younger i had a great appreciation for this game ( which i still do ) but i can honestly admit how bad it is in retrospect. i don’t think any of us truly needed this in our lives. the budget for this game seemed cheap and it definitely showed. with test your might being included during a match but no separate game modes. smh crazy. mk9 definitely redeemed the series after this no doubt.
