Two down-on-their-luck cowboys were sitting on the boardwalk outside the general store begging for money. "Please, ma'am, could you spare a dime or two? We ain't got no money for food." one said as a lady passed by. She glanced at the saloon across the street. "How do I know you won't just go over to the saloon and drink and gamble it away?" she asked. "Oh, no, ma'am," the other cowboy spoke up. "We wouldn't do that. We gots gamblin' money."

Great video, as usual, Santee! I taught myself how to play Faro, and it's a very interesting game. But when Doc Holiday says "The odds are all on the house" in Tombstone, he was wrong. Faro was as close to an even money game as there ever was, which is why it's no longer played. The last Faro table in Las Vegas closed in 1975, and in Reno in 1985. The fact that some dealers made a lot of money, including Wyatt Earp, was for two reasons; they ran a crooked table, and the players were drunk and therefore stupid. The latter still applies in casinos today!

Hey Santee, today I won a deck of cards from around the mid 1800s for 48 dollars at an auction. Currently I'm clearing the books of one of my bookshelves to replace it with relics from the 1800s and the cards will probably be pretty nice to add to my collection.

I actually got to go on a casino boat in Louisiana once..I was too young to gamble sadly but they had a really good arcade for the kids. My maternal grandmother's sister used to live near New Orleans and when me, my grandma, and another aunt of mine went to visit her, my gambling loving aunt (the one that drove us there) of course wanted to hit up a casino boat. As for the famous gamblers? My grandma was a big fan of Doc Holiday in the Tombstone movie. One of these days I might have to see about getting back over to there or somewhere that does river boats with gambling and give it a try myself..not too much though, unlike my dearly departed aunt (the one who went with us) I'm pretty much like my grandma or mother..I set a limit and only spend that much, so anything I win is good but if I lose then I've only lost that 1 or 200 bucks I designated for gambling.

My great grandma used to play a mean game of poker. She was average, but on more than one occasion she was good. She also, used to play pool. Once in a while she would shoot pool, with one of her brothers. She played at the casino and with a club, that was made up of members of the local catholic church. She taught me a bit, with candy and taught me about poker.

Also Santee one more question, I left this on a way older video, but then I realized its in this video as well. The red solid/ white striped long sleeved banded collar shirt that you're wearing right at the start of the video, I was really wondering... where'd you get that shirt at. I've been watching your videos and see you wearing it from time to time, but this time I just couldn't help but ask. Because back in April, I already told you I was getting an pair of old frontier pants, and wah-maker brown-leather braces. I've had them now for almost 2 full months and yet I'm still looking for the perfect shirt to go with them, and when I saw your red solid/ white striped long-sleeved shirt I knew that was the perfect one. Could you please give me a link to the place in which you purchased it, if not could you and I e-mail each other back and forth, so I can find out where you got that awesome shirt. Thanks very much. I always love your videos, and have been watching them since my birthday in January when KZbin recommended them to me, and I've been with you since 1,000 subs, and I really cannot believe why you guys do not have more now that your channel is getting better, and better each and every week I watch!
