I saw the beginning of this, France, Flatlands, entirely useless start and almost died laughing

I actually was excited just to see this video for Filthy's reaction to playing France, AGAIN, but the flatland and plain desert addition was an absolute troll by the CIV gods...and then Grand Mesa...

Another four years later, it might still be the single worst start I've ever seen. The pure, uncut trolling the game did here is just impossible to deny. Utterly vanilla civ and a location so flat and so devoid of decent bonus resources that it wouldn't even rate a 4th-pick expansion. It'd be so bad that "okay, I guess I'm 3 city". He did forget the posibility of grassland iron (okay tile) and maybe there's some disgusting number of horses down there waiting for animal husbandry but wow.

First, it was the total flatland with gold only in the 3rd ring and wine stealing one of the river tiles on top of that. Then, it was the 2 flat desert gold tiles and still all flatland. Then, it was the tundra stone to just cap it all off, even though it's in the 3rd ring. It was like, yeah your start but bad, but also, tundra stone that isn't even going to be a relevant tile.

Grassland is super nice! Especially with rivers! Unless you don't have any hills...

Hey filthy, I was wondering if you get any spare time it would be awesome if you made a vid (like the other comprehensive vids you have made) explaining ways to go about actually winning (mid - late) and the paths you should take. for example, ive played a fair few ffa, but i get totally lost by turn 150+.

Maybe, but it's complicated (there are lots of ways to win) and very situational, which makes it hard to capture without going on forever ;p
