I predicted that it would go seven when the Oilers won 8-1. It looked to me that Bobrovsky was the reason they won the first three games and after getting pulled in game four, his confidence would be shaken. He has looked just average ever since. The Panthers with an average goalie can't beat the goal scoring machine that is the Oilers. I was at an Oiler game against Detroit in February and they scored 8 goals against them. They did that in game four against what was supposed to be the best team in the league.

Panthers fan here. All I can say is Florida looks like somebody snatched their body’s up and using them as a surrogate. The Oilers are playing INSANE, the talent is unreal but Florida can’t even complete a 8 foot pass right now. After that 8-1 game they’ve been unsure of every minor decision which is leading to them straying away from their identity/confidence. Unfortunately they’ve been humiliated. I don’t think they have any confidence left and Bob can no longer bail them out. It hurts, it’s also infuriating seeing the lack of urgency. Oils want it more 😢 series is over. Congrats Edmonton

It actually started before the 8-1 game. When the Oilers got 3 against Bobrovsky in game three, I said that the floodgates are going to open for the Oilers. Not that I expected 8 in the next game, but I was expecting a big win for them. The only thing that Florida has going for them, is that game 7 is at home. If it was in Edmonton they wouldn't have much chance, the way the Oilers are playing now. Should be a good one though.

Tocchet is great coach, but I sure hope he gave it to Soucy and Zadorov after that horribly dumb tag team penalty against McDavid. Not saying Edmonton were angels in that game, but it felt like the turning point. Those two should not be considered for contract negotiations or be docked a few mill from next year if they return. For Paul to say that he wouldn’t have challenged that close play is mind boggling. It’s the playoffs and it was a great challenge by Edmonton. If a puck is not clearly over the goal line yet a team is awarded a goal would Paul just let it go? I was surprised that Florida didn’t challenge a goal in the 8-1 game because in my view it was offside.
