Ghost of Tsushima draws a great deal of inspiration from old Kurosawa samurai movies. Quite simply put, westerns with samurai instead of cowboys. In other words, it and much of its music are based on a melodramatic, cinematic kind of style.

Didn't expect a musical connection between Ghost of Tsushima and Pokémon tbh. To give a context to the music, Tsushima was one of the places the Mongol empire tried to invade main land Japan from.
