There is no perfect science to understanding how to effectively run an RPG. I remember the first game I ever ran vividly. I was stressed. I fell into the trap of being a rules lawyer, but failed to concentrate on the main component, which is telling a story and having fun. I later relaxed and conceded that I may not get the rules right all of the time, but I can fix errors later and concentrate on sandboxed plot development. My best advice is to relax and prioritize the main component - fun.

I'm not a huge green ronin fan, there is always a lot in their books that just isn't great; although, there is usually at least something decent in them.

I like the setting (I've read all the books and the comic series...when will the next novel come out GRRM? WTF?! HURRY UP!) The system has a system in it that is a lot like Burning Wheel's social mechanics which I consider a big plus. It seems pretty straight forward and smooth. Now if only my group loved GRRM's novels like I do or were interested in a similar kind of game. :(
