+Orchid Braid For context, the Carbuncle is a fairy disguised as a Forcejewel that eats the other Forcejewels in the inventory of the player who possesses it. It can be obtained in certain mini-games and from drawing the Eggman card and having the roulette land on Outcome #6. When there are no other Forcejewels left, the Carbuncle resorts to eating itself, hence the message that says "The Carbuncle ate itself."

I think the best part about this is the fact that since they're playing on an emulator they are actually MISSING functions to the game. Not playing this on a Dreamcast without its controller and without the VMU that goes into the controller they cannot see their own cards. The VMU was basically the save card for the system and it had a little screen on it where it would display your cards. That said, this is still a pretty crappy Mario Party clone. Just would have been a little easier with the proper stuff.

To clarify, for anybody not in the know, the Carbuncle is an item (they call it a fairy, but who cares) that eats one of your Forcejewels per turn until there are none remaining. As soon as there are none remaining, it removes itself from your inventory (i.e.: it eats itself). There. It is now no longer funny.

This game is terrible. Every aspect of the game that contributes to a player winning is a random gamble. the only skill involved are in the minigames which gives you rings that don't matter at all. It is impossible to win a round on purpose.

@@BlueToadFan Well, it would be like playing Uno without seeing your cards if that was the ONLY problem with this game. Lmao. It'd be like playing a more complicated version of Uno where just about every aspect of it either sucks ass or is meaningless AND you can't see your cards. RIngs are still meaningless. Items are borderline meaningless. You still have random events happen that don't make sense. You get punished for not being close enough to the gemruberald. The minigames are nonsense. Collecting the gemruberalds doesn't even mean much because most of what determines whether you win or not is given to you at the end, like Mario Party if the bonus stars mattered infinitely more than the regular stars that you collect. Yeah, so like playing Uno without seeing your cards, except not at all and way worse than that. And I just found out that the characters have specials, too. Sonic gets to move double the spaces if he gets the same number twice in a row. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all get special spaces on the board that they can use to travel places. Big the Cat, if he gets a 6, can choose any space from 1-6 to land on. Seems just as balanced as the rest of this trainwreck of a game is.
