Game Hunt Chatham - CEX - Charity Shop GOLD + Cash Convertors

AMAZING Charity Shop Find ! Retro GOLD - CEX and Cash Convertors - Game Hunting in Chatham Kent.
Whenever I visit Chatham in Kent Uk for a retro game hunt CEX and Cash convertors usually produce a great range of retro games ranging from original Nintendo games through to Sega, PlayStation and more. Now this retro game hunt as with previous visits again did not disappoint, we look at the great range of retro games available in Chatham CEX and visit Charity shops and Cash Convertors in my hunt for retro games.
But this retro game hunt produced an amazing find in a classic big box retro game in a charity shop.... Have I struck Retro gold in this charity shop pickup !!??!! A truly amazing retro game find and in a charity shop, is this £3.50 investment my best yet?
So join me OGDuffy as I visit the CEX and Cash Convertors in Chatham, Kent to add games to my personal collection😉

I was up in Crawley recently and the Cash Converters there had C64 & Spectrum games 🖥 Really nice to see. The CEX there had some great old school stuff too (picked up a few PSP UMD Movies, including a rare-ish one).

It's one of those things, it's worth what someone will pay.. I see it last sold for £89 or b/offer in December so there is a possibility you could make a decent profit.....but only if there is someone out there who's looking for it!

Not much luck in charity shops, found Carmageddon on PS1 but had to pay £10, not seen it in the wild ever so grabbed it. Got James Pond on Megadrive from CEX as well as i owned it as a kid and was high my target list. Holyfield is another i will keep an eye out for that i used to own. Great vids, keep it up, am off to grab a beer

Awesome stuff as always OG A mention about Mercenaries 2 is that the game can freeze once reaching the menus as it connects to a server. EA never changed their ToS for it and you’d have to accept them via another EA title (e.g. Battlefield Bad Company). The online multiplayer shut down over a year ago and it was a complete hassle to connect with someone. It’s a great game overall

Cool pickup mate! In regards to deadly premonition there's a version for switch and 360 too. Managed to pick up a good few wii games for £1 each this week. MK, wii sports , resorts and a resident evil one. Nearly didn't check the shop as it was near a cex and figured it would have nothing

Hi matey. Deadly premonition supports playstation move but you dont need to use it. Only if a game says playstation move required then you guessed it,its required. I have the Batman Arcade on my Saturn,even more pricey,but amazing fun game. Happy new year

Deadly premonition is worth a play. It’s gone up in value though! I got it a while back for about a tenner on the Xbox 360. Worth a play if you can get it. A mix of Twin Peaks and Resident Evil.

Deadly Premonition is on my PS3 wants list.....ended up taking a trip and picking it up along with Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn that was behind the counter in the pricey section 😊

With PlayStation move if a game says PlayStation move features it means you can still play it normally with a standard controller but if it says PlayStation move required means you can only use the PlayStation move controllers and can’t use a normal ps3 controller 😊

I am a big box PC game collector so can tell you WarCraft 1 big box is worth around £65-85 in good condition complete (Based off 2x sales on ebay), so you hit gold. I have WarCraft 2 big box so have been looking for this game. As usual ignore 'Buy It Now' £200 prices there are a lot of chancers ... its only worth what people will actually pay. I used to play this as a kid on my Dads old work laptop linkup via serial cable ... however lost interest in the franchise when it turned into a MMO and not a RTS.

I went into my local CEX in Dec and early Jan and the Xbox 360 section is decimated, even common games are not available, is this normal post Xmas or are people just not trading in 360 games anymore or its become super popular?

I think this seems to be the situation for the majority of systems.... I know the Switch games took an immense hammering over Christmas. Give it a month or two and hopefully stocks will start to replenish 😉🍺

@@OGDuffy Good to know. when you cant find the cheap £1-2.50 games in CEX for the platform things dont look great. You expect rare games to not exist but games like 'Deus Ex Human Revolution' arent rare or expensive but out of stock in my local along with many other common games.

I’m the same with the N64. I love the system, but have never been fussed about collecting for it. I do like playing the N64 section on the switch... it pains me to say that Goldeneye has aged a bit though 😢

Yeah, cash converters is shady but there is great deals to be had. Mines sells ps3 game for 50p as well. Its also buy 2 get one free, so its 3 games for a £1. I got skate 3, harry potter and ratchet quest for booty on ps3 all for a £1

Nice one. As ive said before im collecting a full pal n64 set, very good condition boxed complete. I have 50 so far which i did in my first year last year which im really happy about. Its costing 4 to 5k for 50 and i set a goal when i started last year of 50 per year to ger a full set in 5 years. So im on track. The last sort of month or two ive had to slow it right down. Ive got 4 children and with xmas and two of them also having there birthdays in dec the money just hasnt been there. I live on a modest income. January has arrvied. Its going to be a bit of a struggld to hit my goal of another 50 this year and the misses and I are getting married in July and theres not going to be alot of free cash between now and then. But, this month is my birthday, im fast approaching 40. Which means, i have £450 this month to buy for the n64. Now that could be one of two game of half a dozen games, depends on the games and most are three digits boxed complete in very good condition. So next week, birthday money becomes available and ill be adding to my 50. So looking forward to thar.

@@OGDuffy happy days indeed 😎🍺 yes i do enjoy my silent hill, well honestly 1-2 are great, third is okay but the homecoming, that i'm playing is not that good and also the downpour is pretty bad also. I think they are okay games as they are , but they dont feel like silent hill games. But i'v played the through when they first came out, So now i'm giving them a 2024 New look. Good selection of PS3 games in that CEX, I'm going for a full UK PAL set. What's your aim for your PS3 collection? Killzone trilogy is a good buy! All three games in one box and the only way to get killzone HD which on its own goes for a good amount! Deadly Premonition I'm yet to play but I know it's a rarer title! Great vid 😁

I bought the N64 at launch and hated it. I couldn't go from beautiful 2d SNES games to blocky horrible 3d. Enjoyed Goldeneye, but just don't get the fuss regarding Mario 64. Very overrated 🙊

I paid $100 AUD about 6 years ago for a sealed version of the same edition of warcraft. So with the way prices have sky rocketed i would expect your copy to go for the same price now unsealed (at aminimum) 😀
