I support small businesses but these shops extremely lowball what people what walk in for sale with. They’d never sell any of their prized boxed games or good condition cart only games for a discount. This vintage game market is ruthless and everybody wants a deal.

I live in Berlin, Germany, we have plenty of these 'retro game' shops, sadly a lot have closed down since I was a kid, I'm 29 now, but we still have plenty. And it always gives me a joy passing them even if I don't buy anything, because they simply feel nostalgic.

If there's one area that has really benefited from the internet and social media it's the retro scene. It's sad to think how many more of these great little shops would be still open if they had been able to hang-on until at least this decade. Without the internet these shops are ultra niche but with it the whole world is a customer. Great stuff. Keep rocking and buying selling great memories!

Great shop but unfortunately not that much was priced when I went. Checks ebay prices when you ask how much something is and seems to stick 10% on. Stopped going there and now go to Gamesmart which is 15 mins away. But if you are happy with the nonprice thing it's a great shop.

I know you are asking for what games we'd pick, but I saw that vinyl copy of Teenage Fanclub and now I want to visit the next time I'm back across the pond. That, The Stone Roses, and 808 State would have been on in the background when I was playing games on my Sega Genesis.

I have known Rob & Lee since I was around 13 IIRC, I'm now 32. My dad use to take me there as we didn't live too far, for all our game/figure needs, as he knew their mum. Sadly my dad died last year in his sleep to Sepsis. But I still go there as its apart of me being an OTAKU. I've only been there twice since my dad died, but I love the atmosphere and they are really outstanding people to be around with that classic/modern store aura to get lost in 😍

15:10 It sucks that I live in the US. If I was in the UK I would be in that shop so fast. Probably the only place you are going to have the possibility of all four original Turtles figures being together. As a kid I was never able to get them all. I found Don at Toys R Us in 1990 however by then the complete set of first wave figures were difficult to find. The wacky alternate versions were everywhere. Awesome video mate! Anyone that says they are visiting that shop just to look around will end up buying something lol. You are going to find something that you simply have to have.

I am absolutely going to take a trip this week and check this place out. It looks brilliant, just the kind of store my mate and I have talked about opening for years. It's going to be a bit of a mission - two trains and buses just to get there - but I'm thinking it'll probably be worth it. We've only got CEX in my home town now, and their retro section is tiny.
