Ozymandias is still the greatest TV I ever saw. The episode was so captivating that my mom who never watched Breaking Bad EVER, sat down behind me and even she was transfixed by the episode. She started asking me questions about the show and stuff. If an episode is so good that it can pull someone who has never seen the show nor understand the character relationships in at such a climactic stage, it's a gold standard.

Just another Baelish plan. Remember what he said to Cersei: "Let the enemies of the Throne slaughter each other and when they're done, seize Winterfell from whichever thief survives." Come on ya'll think about it. It's Baelish being Baelish. Originally he may have thought it would be Roose vs. Stannis - but the plan only slightly turned when it became Ramsay vs. Jon. Either way, he also said "that is why it is critical to strike while the victor still licks his wounds" - the Starks may have just retaken Winterfell/survived the battle, and that's awesome :) :), but they have also lost all of their fighting men - and now almost certainly depend on Littlefinger's "good will" for defense now. Baelish took his sweet time replying to Sansa's letter, and getting to the North because he knew the odds of Jon's army being slaughtered, Ramsey losing many men fighting Jon (so as to not leave a huge army for the Vale to have to put down - thus lowering the risk of his own men dying), and him looking like the savior rushing in with thousands of men. It's all power play. Which is why I kind of think Sansa was holding off on telling Jon she was asking him for the reinforcements - because she didn't know what that would entail.Being beholden or indebted to Littlefinger is the last place anyone wants to be ... just ask Ned Stark lol. Whether or not they know it, LF kind of owns the North now. I don't believe he'll hand Sansa over to Cersei - but if you all think his help came without strings attached - you're fools. He's been doing sneaky shit like this since he told Lysa to poison Jon Arryn, and to write a letter to Catelyn saying it was the Lannisters! A man like Baelish only thrives in chaos, wherever he goes, chaos is sure to follow. I just hope Sansa understands this and is using him to her benefit - and doesn't let him get too much control ( I think she may end up killing him). Lord of Harrenhal, Master of Coin, Lord Paramount of the Trident, Lord Protector of the Eyrie and the Vale of Arryn...and Warden of the North??? "Titles do seem to breed titles." -Baelish himself.

Its funny how everyone I've seen reacts to the moment where Jon rides alone against Ramsay's army like he's an idiot, but in reality he has no choice: Ramsay lured him in with hopes of saving his brother. Jon thought this could be a trap, but what was he going to do, leave his brother to die? So then Ramsay orders his archers to fire at Jon. Jon sees this and at this point cannot rejoin his side, if he rides back its under a wave of arrows that will kill him. So he goes for broke, charging forward. Because of their loyalty, his men follow suit. So in reality the biggest mistake Jon made was sentimentality. This is a war and he could never have saved his brother, Sansa knew this. But charging Ramsay's army, whilst being emotional, ultimately was his only honourable option. Luckily it all worked out... because as a strategist Ramsay outclasses every other leader

Glad even the general watchers can see that Jon fucked up. Even if Sansa arrived early, he STILL would've fucked up and got played by Ramsay. There's no saving it. Sansa tried to tell him not to fall for his shit, and Jon yelled at her. She had to keep the Vale a secret, not only because she didn't even know if she had their support until last minute, but also because it would have killed more people to add them to the army since Ramsay would prepare for siege in the castle.

The line of dialogue they gave Sansa in the tent "did it ever occur to you to ask my opinion" may rank up there as the dumbest in the show history. Was her mouth sealed shut at the war meeting? She was standing right there in the tent. She could have spoke up anytime she wanted. Have we seen any evidence Jon Snow is a character who won't let women talk? Did Jon tell anyone else in that tent they can't speak unless he asks their opinion? It's nonsense designed to make Jon look like a moron and Sansa like a hero.

+ Ste Poris I agree.........she definitely didn't mind speaking up when they asked Lord Glover to join the war. Some might say Lord Glover tore into her so bad that Sansa became timid, but I ain't buying that.

You're right that Jon fucked up. We don't know yet if Sansa even received a raven back about the Vale, looks like we'll find out next episode. BUT, if the Vale never came we ALL saw that Jon was a terrible leader during the battle. To all the people who think Jon did no major fuck ups here: He threw out ALL strategy and led his already disadvantaged army into the worst possible position (literally and figuratively). He changed his battle strategy because he lost control of his emotions and fell into the trap. If the Vale didn't come we all saw they were going to die and Jon led them there. If I were like Tormund with the last of the wildling fighters or Lady Mormont with 62 fighters I would be PISSED at BOTH Jon and Sansa. Most people and reactors on KZbin are blinded by Jon's amazing battle seen. Which, damn, it was a pretty freakin awesome battle. I love the Starks, but they both messed up. Sansa with communication and Jon as a leader and you realize it was all for immediate personal revenge and trust issues right? For the both of them.

Im happy Ghost wasn't part of the battle, he probably would have died and i can't take that, especially after one-one's death. Game of Thrones never lets us keep anything nice. Btw Lyanna is to young to fight, shes probably back at camp.

I think Ghost was left behind in Castle Black. He cant really help much in a battlefield and his presence will intimidate would be coup plotters vs Edd. Lyanna Mormont I presume was behind the battlefield. She's just a 10 yr old kid afterall so she cant participate in the real bloody fights.
