I agree with the girl in the corner about Daenerys making the correct political decision. Last time I checked, soldiers of war don't count as innocents. I mean in the pilot episode Ned Stark beheaded the watchman because he thought him a deserter. He wasn't mad. There are hard choices to be made in these matters. Although at times she may display what seems to be "madness", her decision here is not that of madness. People that shout, "oh she burnt people, she's fucking mad..." they don't know what the fuck they are talking about. Will she be truly mad like her father? That remains to be seen. She may or may not end up like her father in the end, but we'll see.

Baked Dirt TV I completely agree. If people want to compare Dany to someone, they should compare her to Aegon and not her father. Dany is doing the same thing Aegon did when he first came to Westeros and everyone acts like that didn't happen. Cersei is one step away from being just like the mad king and no one seems to be concerned. Hell, she even threaten Jaime when she said don't betray her again and Jaime should know better than anyone where this can end. For christ sake, he's been down this road before. Just my two cents

@Baked Dirt TV. People like to scream about Dany and forget about Stannis Baratheon. Stannis told Mance Rayder to bend the knee. He refused. Stannis *burned him alive at the stake.* That is an arguably slower and more traumatic and barbaric death than death by Drogon frying. Think about it; being burned at the stake means the fire burns slow and spreads slowly. There's an added psychological trauma there. Being roasted by a dragon just *sitting there* and spouting fire at you? That's a shorter death, and the Tarlys probably died out of shock before Drogon could finish turning their bodies into ash. It was also pretty clear that *Dany thought chopping off heads was barbaric* when she was talking about it to Tyrion. Which is really interesting when you think about it.

@@beckyweiss6072 Everyone screams about Dany cause what she did was mad. Stannis was mad too but that doesn't make Dany any less mad. Stannis had Davos who was a good adviser but didn't have any influence that was close to being as strong as Melisandre's. Dany had Tyrion right beside her giving her advise but she didn't take it. She says that she didn't want to be the queen of the ashes but she turned the people who didn't want her to be queen into ash. Even she recognized it earlier in the season that it was mad.

One of the things that keep bothering me is the fact that Tyrion doesn't question the fact that Jon Snow is not in the Night Wacth anymore, given the fact that he knows the honorable philosophy of Jon and that to Jon be there it means that he broke his bows as a member of the NW, to me that's a major plot flaw. I mean, I get that Dany supposely doesn't "know" the full customs and rules of westeros but Tyrion? Come on!

People won't like this, and I love this show, but this episode had some lazy writing. The way they handled Jamie and Bronn was BS. No way that Jamie is sinking with one hand and full armor and then suddenly emerges safe and sound far away from danger. Dany didn't care? The Dothraki didn't care? Also, Tyrion wants to meet with Jamie. First, not the best plan. Second, how does Tyrion even know Jamie is alive. He just watched him charge a dragon and then get tackled int the river. I know that no one wants to watch the characters travel at this point in the show, but come on. The White Walkers have been marching towards the Wall for quite awhile. Meanwhile, Tyrion travels to King's Landing and back in half an episode and Jon can travel to the Wall in an episode. Arya trained all this time to be "no one" and is already getting worked over by Littlefinger? Seems unlikely and forced to further the plot. The plan to bring a wight back to Cersei is not great. We are going to send some of our best men, including the King in the North, to capture a wight and bring it back to a notoriously unreasonable person who wants us dead? What happened to Theon? Some people will disagree with me and that's fine, but if you look past all the reunions, long-awaited arrivals and dragon-touching, this season has felt a little rushed and is causing characters to do things they normally wouldn't.

They could have fixed the Jaime thing by just having it happen on a cliff over water OR a rushing river... it was definitely awkward. Good call on the Tyrion knowing Jaime is alive thing. Didn't even think of that. The distance to King's Landing from Dragonstone is under 400 miles, I think? The distance to Eastwatch is probably.... 1500 miles? So, assuming that Jon has a nice ship (9 mph - based off the top speed of a Caravel) and is moving 24/7 straight there.. he'll get there in almost exactly a week. Assuming that Tyrion also has a nice ship, he will be in King's Landing in under 2 days. Same for the Dothraki, obviously. Drogon will take probably 8 hours to get to King's Landing (or to the Loot Train). Leave in the morning, spend the afternoon destroying an army. Get some shut eye, be back by noon the next day. Compare to the second episode of the series. At about 20 minutes in, they depart for King's Landing from Winterfell and 40 minutes in they are at the Trident. That is 1500 miles or more and about 3 entire weeks of time, which we know from math and the books say it took a month to travel the whole way. Arya is good at a lot of things but so is Littlefinger... but do we know she is being played? The plan to bring a wight back is not great but it is a reasonable idea for the characters to come up with.

About the burning the Tarlys, it's not comparable with Ned. Beheading is the standard way of execcution, burning people alive with a dragon it's way too much for execcute war soldiers. I've made this comment in the previous vid, but I wanna know if someone else got the refference. The moment when Jon is saying his goodbye to Danny he says "I wish you good fortune in the wars to come, Your Grace". Somehow the same words were spoken by Ser Arthur Dayne, "Sword of the Morning", right before Ned finds out that R+L=J in The Tower of Joy episode. I think there is a bit more of it than a scene to remind us of Jon's origin, but something in those words that is more fundamental in the motives behind reminding us that Jon is the real Targaryen. Arthur was a close friend of Rhaegar, besides being one of his most trustful anointed knights, those might even be words that the prince himself used to say in farewells. Almost like a blink to show how much Jon might be like his father, after all. Thinking that there are not casualities in the lines of tv scripts, I wanted to know if someone got a different thought about this. Maybe is just a nod and nothing else. Or could it be something?

Mance Rayder says the same thing to Stannis right before he was executed. (I believe Benjen said something similar to Bran and Co after he helped them Beyond the Wall). If you force me to find meaning in it, I'd point out that both Arthur Dayne and Mance died shortly after speaking those words, so it could be ominous (or a subversion of that fact).

I think you may be right, it's like the writers are putting in these lines to show that Jon although is very stark he is still his father's son and carries his characteristics, it would probably show even more if he fully embraced his Targaryen side and looked like one too but it's not the case, it's more subtle

Well would you rather have her remain kind and soft which will possibly get her killed or do whatever it takes to win (Except burn the Red Keep). Plus you can't really blame her because technichally Randal is a traitor because he betrayed Olenna who was pledged to Daenerys, so she had the right to execute him. Burning them alive wasn't necessary but she's a Targaryen her house words are "Fire and Blood" and Olenna told her to be a dragon, so she listened to Olenna here instead of Tyrion because he's been failing her.
