Just to mention for spoiler stuff. It’s heavily implied that Duncan is the ancestor of Brianne however something to also add that the person he cheated with is another Targaryen. Aegon older sister in fact. Who was married to lord Tarth at the time. So Brienne is technically also a dragon seed but somewhat distant.

I'm very thankful for the subtitles being added to the channel's content. I don't know most of the character's names (from the Targaryen family history mostly) and their names are all so similar. On top of that, I can't quite make out all of the words you pronounce (damn brits!) so it's super helpful to be able to read the accurate subtitles (assuming your team entered them since they're not making up words that don't exist like auto-detect does). :D

The book opens after the death of Ser Arlan, I imagine the television series will give the audience one or two episodes of Duncan and Ser Arlan their first meeting, life as a hedgeknight before his death on the road to Ashford.

I bet the old guy in the woods is Pennytree. Probably establishing the character, possibly how/why he took on Duncan. This may even be a flashback type thing as Dunk thinks about what to say at his graveside. It's such a weird far away shot, I can't help but think this is Duncan's first look at him, spying on him as he trains. Hey you asked, so that's my take :)

There is Aegons Conquest, Maegor the Cruel reign, Jahaerys I reign, even The Mad King Arey’s reign is more interesting we could have seen the young Tywin Lannister and perhaps even Olenna Tyrell being randomly savage (I would rather watch a show about her than this).
