Bran told the story of the Rat Cook baking the king's son into a pie and feeding it to him. He said betraying guest right is the one sin the gods can't forgive. Tywin Lannister masterminded the Red Wedding and had his men shoot crossbows into Robb and his men. Tywin was killed by a crossbow bolt fired by his own son. Roose Bolton took part in the Red Wedding and stabbed Robb in the heart. Roose was stabbed in the heart by his own son. Walder Frey hosted the Red Wedding, fed his guests, betrayed them and had his son slit Catelyn Stark's throat. Walder was fed his own sons and had his throat slit by Catelyn's daughter. Do not piss off the Old Gods.

Episode 10: The piece of music is called "Light of the Seven" and it's on like 3 of my playlists. I've always maintained that Ramin Djawadi is lowkey one of the biggest stars of this show, his music is amazing. He also does the score for Westworld, which has a lot of amazing mixes...there's a Japanese version of C.R.E.A.M. by Wu Tang as an example that will blow your socks off. Another thing I noticed is that Bran seems to be able to see the future too, because if you go back a few episodes, one of his visions has the green flame roaring through the tunnels. Also, Tommen - King's Landing, that joke never gets old. ONE LAST THING: If you haven't already, this would be a good point to find a video called R+L=J it's insane how many clues you've been given about Jon this whole time.

The soft piano music playing in episode 10 with the build up of what happens make it one of my favorite episodes of the entire series.
@izattyu686310 ай бұрын
Its a godfather redux. That juxtaposition of music meta and actions is a classic godfather scene. As much as i love 6:10, its a rip off from much more famous and critically acclaimed movies.
@YouOnlyIiveTwice10 ай бұрын
6:10 doesn't even have the music I'm talking about. It's literally just Daenerys on her dragon torching the boats. As far as the music goes, I'd say it's more of an inspiration than a ripoff. Djawadi used piano for the piece (the first time piano was introduced as part of the musical language of Game of Thrones), and an organ because it had already been introduced during Cersei’s imprisonment and walk of atonement, strings, and two boy soloists, to evoke Qyburn’s “little birds.” You can also hear examples in other classical music, such as Ravel, Barber, and Handel and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. @@izattyu6863

1) The army that showed up at the end of the battle was the Knights of the Vale, ordered to the battle by Littlefinger and Robin Arryn. 2) It's a nice little detail in that scene with Ramsey firing arrows at Jon. The shield Jon picks up is a Mormont shield. As little Lady Mormont said, they're a small house, but we are a proud one, and every man from Bear Island fights with the strength of ten mainlanders." Looks like those 62 men did their job, getting all the way to Winterfell before being taken down. 3) Poor, poor Tommen. He tried to be a good king, but Cersei was so obsessed with Joffrey that she never even thought that Tommen may eventually become king, so never bothered to teach him a damn thing. 4) No, Jon Snow's parents are not Ned and Lyanna. Lyanna just gave Jon into Ned's protection to keep him from being killed by Robert Baratheon. Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar's son. Remember when they said Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna? Ned, despite being a very honorable man, was willing to lie for all of Jon's life in order to protect him from Robert's jealousy. And yeah, Jon was born in the south. Technically, he was born in Dorne, which is about as far south in Westeros as you can be. Jon is not a full-blood Stark, but half Targaryen. (And no, people, this is not a spoiler. They finished the show a while back on Patreon.)

So, the issue with the Grand Maester is something that didn't come across that well in the show, it's more a book thing. But we are told repeatedly that the Maesters basically have a little too much power. They control all communication in the realm since they are in charge of the ravens, they hold all the knowledge of alchemy and potion-making (and potions play a BIG part in medical care). And the thing is that the Maesters swear loyalty to their Citadel first, _not_ to their lords and ladies. They basically have too much political power without any oversight. There are questions asked in the book regarding whether or not Cersei got Lancel to poison Robert's wine to make him more inebriated than he should be which is what got him killed during his boar hunt, or whether she bribed the Grand Maester to overdose him on Milk of the Poppy, which is what actually killed him. Grand Maester Pycell knows most of Cersei's secrets because he has been working with her all along...until he wasn't anymore. She no longer trusted in his loyalty and she doesn't know what info he has or might send back to the Citadel. So now she has Qyburn, a Maester who was stripped of his chains for performing forbidden experiments, like reanimating dead people the way he did with The Mountain. And because she lets Qyburn practice his dark arts, he is loyal to her and she trusts him. Plus, the other Maesters shun him, so he won't be sending any news to the Citadel and telling all of Cersei's plans and secrets. So Qyburn is a better tool for her, but she can't leave Pycell alive to possibly spill the beans about all the terrible stuff Cersei has been doing all this time.

The reason they needed the tyrels was because the tyrels are truly a rich house. The lannister gold mines went empty years ago. The tyrels are rich because their lands are the most fertile in the kingdom. They grow massive amounts of wheat. Since nothing will grow during a years long winter, wheat and bread are the highest valued commodity. In the books it talks about bread and other food being worth its weight in gold leading up to winter.. making the tyrels extremely wealthy and powerful

To clarify: In the very beginning of the series when Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark visit Lyanna's crypt it's made clear that Rhaegar Targaryan kidnapped Lyanna. He wanted her and she was betrothed to Robert Baratheon. We are to understand that scene to mean that John is Lyanna's child NOT Ned's and the only person who could be John's father is Rhaegar Targaryen as Lyanna was not yet married to Robert when she was abducted.

6:11 "Dracarys" = High Valyrian for "dragonfire" 🐲🔥 8:58 to tell them that he hadn't fed his dogs in 7 days? You're right! 19:46 The Knights of the Vale were who showed up with Littlefinger. They were nearby at Moat Calin and even though Sansa told him to go back to Moat Calin, she sent him a raven saying they needed more men. 23:19 right you were, AJ. 59:50 This and season 4 are my two favorite finales.

Winter is coming , “well father always promised us didn’t he” Such an amazing part of the series. What other tv show would have something pay off that they set up in season one? Ned Starks “winter is coming” is transformed into a statement of hope, for better days to be seen. Winter finally arrives when victory is achieved

The reinforcements were the Knights of The Valel. Sansa and Robin were first cousins. Lord Robin Arryn, called "Sweetrobin" by his mother, is the only surviving child and heir of Lord Jon Arryn by his wife, Lysa of House Tully, who served as Robin's regent during his minority. He is the Lord of the Eyrie, the head of House Arryn, the Warden of the East and Defender of the Vale. Lord Baelish (Littlefinger) through his marriage to Lysa Arryn gained him the title of Lord Protector of The Vale.

Easily the best battle scene for any TV show ever. Definitely Braveheart and LOTR vibes.

Sercei wanted Tommen's body burnt and ashes places at the sept is because then she doesn't have to explain his death to the people. It can just be assumed/asserted that he died when it blew up.

Remember when Peter spoke to his stepchild Robin Aryon? And Robin said he will help his cousin Sansa? That was Robin deciding to send his army 'The Knights of the Vale' to go to the aid of Jon for the Battle of the Bastards.

They know that Brandon Stark is called Bran. They are using the Bronn on purpose. When this first recorded on Patreon a huge amount of people were correcting them. But by the time we got to the last episode in the whole show. The Bronn name became very funny in that reaction.

@@lrichardson5057 You mean on Patreon, where the rich people watch, they've finished the entire series already??

Ned Stark did NOT have a baby with his sister Leanna. But his sister DID have a baby and that baby is Jon Snow. What you saw was a young Ned Stark being by his sisters side as she was dying after giving birth. She asked Ned to take care of the baby, but not to tell who the father was. Can't tell you who the baby daddy is yet.

Cersei killed the Maester for acouple of reasons. One,he went behind her back on the council, which shows he wasn't fully onboard with team Lanisyer. Second, she bow had Qybuuuuurn, so all she had to do was clean up some things. Pycelle knew too much of her nasty side, for her to let him continue to walk around. So she had to take him out!

Ned Stark did not have a baby with his sister. Ned Stark had a baby with Hodor. Hodor is Jon Snow's mother.

The Jon Snow thing: try and recall (or research) the reason for King Robert's rebellion that was referenced in the beginning of the series. You should be able to piece it together from there

Cersei killed Grand Maester Pycell because she was CLEANING HOUSE. Point. Blank. Period. She didn't need 2 Grand Maesters. Pycell became useless. And his medical skills were not that good, compared to Qyburn's skills. (Shhheeeeiiitt.... Qyburn literally brought The Mountain back from the brink of death. Oh yeah, she keeping him close 😂) So she promoted Grand Maester Qyburn to replace him.

The craziest thing about Jon’s battle sequence was that it was all done in one continuous shot.
