I also think that Hodor got an injury at some point between the tourney and tower or joy. Some even speculate that the word Hodor will play at part in the fight against the whitewalkers. But, basically here it is--I'm still really confused about Bran's "visions." I was thinking that these visions via the weirwoods were basically seen through the "eyes" of the trees the COTF carved thousands of years ago. So, I'm confused by how Bran saw what he saw in Sunday's episode, and especially how he could see the Tower of Joy stuff. With the TOJ being in Southern Dorne - a desert - are there weirwoods there? And even if so, wouldn't Bran only be able to see the exterior? Like, I know you have to suspend your disbelief in a lot of this stuff, but I could've swore I read it like that in the books. If you can clear this up for me, I'd be very appreciative!! Am I just over-thinking it?

+Mhysa of Kittens In the books it's explained kind of like this...the trees would be like the training wheels to get him started with the "sight". The trees hold all the memories and knowledge of the CotF that have passed, but after that he would be able to see beyond. In the books while Bran is in the coma BR shows him a ton of stuff that is happening all over the world right then and stuff that is going to happen in the future and tells him that is why he needs to live (fly). IIRC there was even a flash of Robert Strong in there. So obviously BR can see way beyond the trees and he is teaching Bran. =)

I don't think he will. It doesn't serve the plot. Unless the show runners want to get rid of Rickon. It seems better if Rickon is held captive as a trump card. He believes Jon is holding Sansa so he would hold Rickon. Also it'll be a means to hold the North captive as well. Atleast those loyal to the Starks...who don't want to see another dead. This is just my opinion and seems like a better use of his "gift"

It's interesting that the Red God seems to be very actively meddling in the affairs of everyone south of the wall, even those who do not believe in him. Moving chess pieces around and positioning them for the battle for the dawn. Is the Great Other, the whitewalker god, indifferent to the red god's intervention? does the Great Other have no chess pieces south of the wall? Are the whitewalkers the whole of his side of the chess board? it's an odd thing that the great other's only pieces are those devout to him, while the red god is pulling strings all over the place for believers and non believers alike.

But yea, the juxtaposition of those two deities and their respective powers are of interest to me, I mean Bran and the three eyed raven are north of the wall along with meera and hodor and a child of the forest, but they by circumstance are acting in favor of the red god by opposing the white walkers, it makes me wonder if the the great other has any agents (voluntary or otherwise) at all south of the wall, it'd be an interesting twist but might convolute things a bit.

I don't think there is an Azor Ahai. I think the prophecies are misunderstandings and misinterpretations. More, I think Jon Snow will have a hard time feeling involved in the world once more. He won't be more focused, but more "out of it." My theory is that Sansa will help give him an emotional 'anchor' into the living world again.

I think Ramsey's Gift from the CarStarks and Umbers is really a trick. They really played up The North Remembers in the lead up to the season, and this could be their way of staying close and killing the Boltons.

Jon in season 5 reminded me a lot of Aragorn in LOTR. They both are reckless in battle and learn humility simultaneously with leadership. Not to mention their badass magic swords, Longclaw and Anduril. I wouldn't be surprised if Jon becomes king. After the jumbo battle, Daenerys will realize her home is in Essos, and rebuild Valyria. That is, if neither of them die.
