Watching this after her and Joe divorcing and her suing him. Breaks my heart. I hope she is okay. She is the sweetest and I can tell how much hurt her depression has caused her. I pray her children stay with her in the UK.

Every time I watch this show I feel like I am stronger and just like dr phil said I look at her and I just see myself in the past 8 or 9 years. Watching this show helped me so much... I didn't have courage to go to therapy... I think because I'm scared of what they say to me and scared of the medication. I talked to my psychology teacher once and what she said to me nearly brought me to suicide. Because in Iran there isn't good enough facilities and doctors and therapists. And even if there is it's just a few. Even teachers or families can't help you cause they don't have enough information and awareness about mental health... I wish to GOD that someday I could get over it..also everyone that struggle with this kind of illness.. Sorry about the bad english. I'm from iran.

I cab't believe that psychology teacher said something to make things worse!! I can't believe someone has a job i want and KNOWS human psyche (or doesn't in this case), and decides to make someone's life worse?! How does that happen?! If i was your teacher, i would never do that!! Don't listen to such people but instead find ways to see through people to see who you can really trust to pour your heart out!

Growing up, I was never allowed to get help. My parents didn’t believe me and thought i just wanted attention. They said I was overreacting. They don’t believe in mental health. But they were the ones also causing the depression and suicidal thoughts because they were drug addicts and abusive. They still are, but they are no longer in my life. I got out of there as soon as I could. I was 14 years old when I finally moved out. It was rough because I was living on a different friends couch every other week, but I made it. I was 6 years old the first time I tried killing myself. And I have struggled every single day since up until recently. I am 21 years old now, and I am 2 years clean of suicidal thoughts/attempts and self harm. I am now married and own my own house. ❤️
@LoveLaw2 жыл бұрын
How are you doing? ❤️ My parents were abusive as well, more verbal but sometimes physical. After getting out I thought I was okay for a good few years and then the weight of the childhood lost gripped me. It’s hard because you have to mourn the childhood you had and the one you deserved but never got. I found healing through parenthood because I can give them the childhood they deserve.
@breannacameron99042 жыл бұрын
@@LoveLaw it’s hit and miss. I am married now and out of the house. Some days the depression is crippling. Some days it’s manageable. I haven’t self harmed or suicidal thoughts in 2 years. But I still have depression. Neither of my parents are in my life anymore. I moved out when I was 14 and haven’t been back since. Been on my own for 7 years now.

@@mbalee9986 That’s really rough. Maybe you can use the internet to look up whatever is bothering you so you can better understand it and maybe find other people who have the same struggles as you that you can talk to. It sounds like you may have Body Dysmorphic Disorder if you think you’re “ugly”, which you’re obviously not. You look lovely in your profile picture. Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a perception disorder that causes people to think they have physical flaws that they don’t have. It’s kind of like having anorexia and thinking you’re fat when you’re actually dangerously thin. I have my own struggles with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) since I was a child because I had an abusive father who always found something about me to criticize, including my looks. I’ve never been called ugly by anyone and I know it’s irrational, but I still can’t help but feel that way. Uma Thurman is a beautiful woman but even she has struggles with BDD since she was a child when it was suggested to her by a family friend to have a nose job. I think pretty much everyone struggles with BDD to some degree and the anxiety that comes with it. We’re all just human and we all have insecurities. So you’re definitely not alone in how you feel.
