I get why some people were disappointed, but I thought the ending was fitting in its own way. It tied up the storylines in a way that reflected the unpredictability and complexity of the world (Game of thrones). Not every story needs a perfectly happy ending to be satisfying. Plus, the show influenced me to see people as they really are-complex and multifaceted, not just good or evil. The show taught me that there's often more beneath the surface.

Season 7 and 8 made so many regrettable mistakes😢. The story line just doesn't live upto the high standards of the previous seasons have set. The story end so abruptly, seems like the writers were in a hurry to end it. 10 years of the greatest series was completly destroyed by the writers.

Tyrion Lannister's court scene is something I watch over and over. Intense characters, ruthless politics and strong connected story telling was GOTs strong point. Also catchy one liners like stick em with the pointy end, valar morghulis, I drink n I know things etc helped imprint each character in us. But in the end it was all wasted. Even HOTG does not have as interesting story telling as GOT.

Long Para Alert* GOT S1-S4 is perfect. Probably the 🐐 when it comes to storytelling. Was as good or even better than Breaking Bad and True Detective Season 1 which are generally regarded as the s when it comes to TV.Season 4 ending was Peak TV experience anyone could have asked for. The first 3 season ending were equally great, but season 4 was just on a whole another level.Then the writers ran out of content and massacred what could have been the greatest story ever told. D&D didn't even try. They rushed and wanted to complete it ASAP so that they could work on some other Sci-Fi series. All right, the Battle of Bastards and Winds of Winter are regarded as the greatest episodes in TV series. But it was nothing but fan service. People were fooled by the writers with great making and giving an ''avengers assemble'' moment. Game of thrones filled with grey characters were reduced to Heroes Vs Villain. Jon Snow till his death had a personality. Guy was complex and even a bit grey shaded with lots of ethical dilemmas. By the end he was just ''You Ahh Ma Queen" guy. Varys and Little Fingers who are the main players in Game of Thrones died in the most stupid way (Death of Little fingers was satisfactory but it was just fan service)And Tyrion from epic dialogues like "Never forget who you are, the rest of the world will not" to "You don't have cock" ☠ The invincible Barristen Selmy was killed by some nobodies Euron Greyjoy is one of the main antagonists in the books and they reduced him to another comedy piece. Lots of characters from the Faceless man to Meera literally disappeared. People of Dorn are clever players and they were reduced to revenge-thirsty hot women. And last but not the least, the greatest character in the series butchered most brutally...Daenerys Targaryen.....From all those build up to turning her into mad queen with just 2-3 episodes was the greatest character assassination ever. No logic, no slow character arc, nothing...just lazy writing. They reduced the war with the white walkers which could have been some TV history defining moment like the Red wedding into a meme material. Finished the war in a single episode in contrast to an entire season. The ending of GOT could have been great. But the problem was that they showed things that would have taken 3-4 seasons in 3-4 episodes.And every logic and realistic scenario shown in earlier seasons was taken off so that they could conveniently destroy the story.The last episode was just unsahikkable. Even a conversation between Tyrion and Varys in an earlier season is better than the whole S7-S8.The earlier seasons focused on Character, politics and dialogues. The storytelling was peak from things happening in King's landing and Winterfell to the Wall story line and Arya's adventure. The Mystery, the unpredictability, the iconic dialogues, the shock value, the politics and even war strategies like Battle of Blackwaters It was just so good.Then they ran out of book content and made it into a normal fantasy show focusing on war and CGI and fan services.Game of Thrones from fall from grace is one of the worst ever.Can keep on ranting about how illogical it was from Season 6 onwards...But yeah, I am stopping for the time being.

Sansa is the Worst character i felt. She was gaining that much confidence in the end, which i felt unnecessary. Without much suffering compared to others, she is a kind of lucky person to become the queen with extraordinary confidence, that i felt a bad vibe and I don't think she is worthy character.
