I'm adding my own personal sin for "You've been stripped of your rank as an assassin and exiled from the creed, but you can keep the bracer and the robes if you'd like."
@kylelehn22499 жыл бұрын
I know right? It's like, "You are exiled and no longer an assassin, but we'll let you keep your hidden blade, phantom blade, bracer, robes, and that nice house. We'll even allow you to continue looking for the keys to that legendary armour." Arno was the only person in the brotherhood that wasn't sitting around doing nothing and they kick him out? They know he's going to continue hunting templars, they should have just let him keep doing it as an assassin. Also, they bashed him for joining the assassins in order to get revenge, yet they worship Ezio when he did the same thing.
@gruma379 жыл бұрын
Kyle Lehn Assassin's Creed Unity's story was just... ugh. It makes me wince a little bit because Ubisoft was all like "Hey! French Revolution! All this stuff about the revolution! Even a clip of killing this royal who is a bad person!" And then it was literally nothing about that.
@kylelehn22499 жыл бұрын
Tank Engine Not to mention how all the French characters had English accents. Ruined the immersion for me. It was also slightly offensive and I'm not even french. Ezio had three games and Ubisoft had Italian accents for everyone, then they actually hired a Native American voice actor for Connor, and all the other characters and side characters whether they be Syrian, Native, Spanish, Italian, Irish, and yes, even French, have all had the correct accents. But then when the game comes that actually takes place in France, they can't bother to give everyone the correct accents. It was made by Ubisoft Montreal too, so it's not like French would be a foreign concept.

If you go along with Bishop and join the brotherhood, you continue to play ACU like normal. However, if you chose to remain with Abstergo, you relive the memories of Shay and play through AC Rouge. That way, you get insane replay value, more interactive story, and creative player choice. Basically, smashing Unity and Rouge into one game.

The one nitpick I have is with Napoleon. He wasn't "really short" in real life. He was 5''7, which wasn't far from average at the time. Unfortunately since Ezio they've gotten hung up on Certain parts of his character which are rather grading without the other aspects. So we wind up with self obsessed playboys like Arno. Hell even Edward, with all his faults was better character cause he learned from his mistakes and had genuine friendships he valued Where as Arno, never had such connection outside of Bellic, and Elise, and thus really felt like and Assassin to me.

2wingo Except that the Hashashin used hashish, hence the name. The stuff they gave Arno was more like acid. Except, for the purpose of the story, it lasted for a very short period of time, whereas acid takes between 45 minutes to an hour and 15 just to kick in. Also, the hallucinatory trip and the introspective trip are two very different things, unlike the depiction here where they're one and the same. What happens is you have hallucinations that are really fun to look at for a while, then they suddenly go click and turn off like a television and things return to normal, but it's at this point that you ease into a period of DEEP thought.

@false_guru9 жыл бұрын
Arno's memory reading ability is a unique extension of his eagle vision. Each Assassin's creed has a unique little difference in eagle vision. For example, Edward Kenway's eagle vision is convenient and it's effects last after it is deactivated, but he needs to concentrate on it more and form what I remember you couldn't use it while running/fighting. Connor, on the other hand, can activate his for very long periods of time and also run with it on. There are more examples I'm not listing but you get the jist of it.

The abilty to veiw memories is suppose to be the additional effect of Eagle Vision, just like how they can stop everything around them to listen to their confession. Nearly all of Arno's executions are stabing in the neck or chest and obviously, they can't talk.

Abstergo is looking for you, so they're sweeping their servers to find which one you are in. To counter this, Bishop and Deacon open a rift to another server, usually a corrupted one so that Abstergo won't think to search there. So no, you're not reliving Arno's memories.

Speaking of the "violin in prison" sin, according to an article I've read some time ago the prisoners of Bastille had been treated quite nicely - they could keep pets in their cells (which weren't that bad, either), receive and write letters, play musical instruments or draw/paint... It wasn't such a nightmare of a prison as the entertainment tells us it was.
@MrsHalloweenJack9 жыл бұрын
sofija1996 You're right, indeed! (if my literature classes are to be believed, at least...) Many of the prisoners were aristocrats and people of influence. Sentencing someone to imprisonement in the Bastille was as much of a way to remove them from the public eye and keep ideas that were considered harmful to the government to spread as it was a decision of justice, but keeping private correspondence was permitted. Besides, life sentences, while delivered in some cases, weren't the norm (at least in Sade's time. The Bastille has had several centuries of existence, so I'm guessing that wasn't always the case.) Most of the prisoners were due to go out sooner or later. One can assume that giving them access to some distractions was a way for the regime to assure that the prisoners whose convictions were the less firmly rooted wouldn't oppose them again.

I really hated that they gave the french English accents and then gave some excuse for it about the animus translating it into English, did Ezio have an English accent? I want a French accent.
@chloejanecampbell62109 жыл бұрын
Actually, when it comes to the case of the eiffel tower... isn't that monument only visible when you are collecting data from another period in time through the animus? I think that putting the eiffel tower in the game in that case is actually historically accurate. My memories are a bit hazy though, so I apologize if I am wrong about this.
@frostieschocopop2 жыл бұрын
7 years later, I know... But you were not. Those parts of the game were all about the Animus being instable and mixing things up. It was using Paris in the 1800s when the World Fair was held there, which explains why the Eiffel Tower was around. But I'm wondering if Dartigan read the entries in the encyclopedia in-game because a lot of information is given. Even explaining the incongruities.

Apparently one of their excuses is that they translate the main characters because those people are the ones you're hearing most often. Meanwhile, the meaningless peasants that we're supposed to be helping but instead are completely ignoring and preferring yet another templar hunt because that didn't get old ages ago speak french. But everyone in AC2 had Italian accents, and everyone and AC4 had the right accents... I'm thinking they just couldn't find any good French voice actors, or at least any that they felt comfortable with giving the main character role.

If Marquis de Sade made an Assassins creed game it would have pornography, depicting sexual fantasies with an emphasis on violence, criminality and blasphemy against the Catholic Church. Or does none of that matter and making "Pirates of the Caribbean: Assassins Creed edition, and whatever the f&^k this game is about more important ? See, this is why I hate these games, you kill off your main protagonist, instead of making him and ,in affect,the activity outside the "matrix", the main plot, turn AC 4 into, "lets make a video game", and instead of moving forward in time you go backwards, because we(the player) care sooo much about who Hatham Kenways' father was, we needed a whole game devoted to him. I'm sorry but I reeeeally hated this series after AC 3.
