I'm adding my own personal sin for "You've been stripped of your rank as an assassin and exiled from the creed, but you can keep the bracer and the robes if you'd like."
@kylelehn2249
@kylelehn2249 9 жыл бұрын
I know right? It's like, "You are exiled and no longer an assassin, but we'll let you keep your hidden blade, phantom blade, bracer, robes, and that nice house. We'll even allow you to continue looking for the keys to that legendary armour." Arno was the only person in the brotherhood that wasn't sitting around doing nothing and they kick him out? They know he's going to continue hunting templars, they should have just let him keep doing it as an assassin. Also, they bashed him for joining the assassins in order to get revenge, yet they worship Ezio when he did the same thing.

Kyle Lehn Assassin's Creed Unity's story was just... ugh. It makes me wince a little bit because Ubisoft was all like "Hey! French Revolution! All this stuff about the revolution! Even a clip of killing this royal who is a bad person!" And then it was literally nothing about that.
@kylelehn2249
@kylelehn2249 9 жыл бұрын
Tank Engine Not to mention how all the French characters had English accents. Ruined the immersion for me. It was also slightly offensive and I'm not even french. Ezio had three games and Ubisoft had Italian accents for everyone, then they actually hired a Native American voice actor for Connor, and all the other characters and side characters whether they be Syrian, Native, Spanish, Italian, Irish, and yes, even French, have all had the correct accents. But then when the game comes that actually takes place in France, they can't bother to give everyone the correct accents. It was made by Ubisoft Montreal too, so it's not like French would be a foreign concept.

How about the a sin for the fourth damn Ubisoft game in recent years where the protagonist gets screwed over; AC 3: Connor's parents and mentor die, his tribe moves away forever. AC 4: Most of Edward's friends die. About 8 out of ten. Watch_Dogs: Friend dies, niece dies, sister and nephew move away forever. AC U: Two father figures, a love interest and two mentors die. Fucking hell Ubi cheer up a little.

1) If Arno was accused of murdering a noble, he would auttomatically be hanged or beheaded. 2) The Bastille was a prison for political prisonners so Arno wouldn't be sent there. 3) Considering that the very few prisoners the Bastille had were almost all nobles, i think they would be allowed to have furniture (not sure about swords though). 4) You know Ubisoft, aying that the French Revolution, an event that affected (and still affect) our world and that brought democracy to my country (i'm french) was instigated by Templars will NOT make me think of them as the bad guys.

Do you know what would have been amazing? When Bishop gives you the "choice" to join the brotherhood, Ubisoft could've actually given you a choice. If you go along with Bishop and join the brotherhood, you continue to play ACU like normal. However, if you chose to remain with Abstergo, you relive the memories of Shay and play through AC Rouge. That way, you get insane replay value, more interactive story, and creative player choice. Basically, smashing Unity and Rouge into one game.

Tea that's a great idea but sadly from my perspective they would never have done it, it was way too much of a loss for them money wise, they basically would have been selling to games for the price of one which wouldn't work out since each game had it's own budget and target profit, meaning that without either raising the price of the game to atleast compensate for the loss, they would be at a huge loss and even if they did that, most people would probably be detoured by the huge price, your idea is amazing, personally for the community side of things it's great but on ubisoft or the corporate side of things I think its bad

The one nitpick I have is with Napoleon. He wasn't "really short" in real life. He was 5''7, which wasn't far from average at the time. He got the "short" reputation because he specifically surrounded himself with the tallest guards. He was a normal guy with an entourage of huge guys, of course he looked small.
@Fluegelkran

When it comes to characters speaking English or other languages, there's an explanation for that in the first game. Lucy tells Desmond that the Animus translates only the information that are important for the ancestor. However, it still doesn't justify the main characters put their mother language phrases within their English speeches.

I liked Altair as well. He took his duty seriously, as did Ezio and Conner though those two managed to complete their journey in what took Ezio decades but that as just a matter of upbringing. Unfortunately since Ezio they've gotten hung up on Certain parts of his character which are rather grading without the other aspects. So we wind up with self obsessed playboys like Arno. Hell even Edward, with all his faults was better character cause he learned from his mistakes and had genuine friendships he valued Where as Arno, never had such connection outside of Bellic, and Elise, and thus really felt like and Assassin to me.

Arno's memory reading ability is a unique extension of his eagle vision. Each Assassin's creed has a unique little difference in eagle vision. For example, Edward Kenway's eagle vision is convenient and it's effects last after it is deactivated, but he needs to concentrate on it more and form what I remember you couldn't use it while running/fighting. Connor, on the other hand, can activate his for very long periods of time and also run with it on. There are more examples I'm not listing but you get the jist of it.

Speaking of the "violin in prison" sin, according to an article I've read some time ago the prisoners of Bastille had been treated quite nicely - they could keep pets in their cells (which weren't that bad, either), receive and write letters, play musical instruments or draw/paint... It wasn't such a nightmare of a prison as the entertainment tells us it was.
@MrsHalloweenJack
@MrsHalloweenJack 9 жыл бұрын
sofija1996 You're right, indeed! (if my literature classes are to be believed, at least...) Many of the prisoners were aristocrats and people of influence. Sentencing someone to imprisonement in the Bastille was as much of a way to remove them from the public eye and keep ideas that were considered harmful to the government to spread as it was a decision of justice, but keeping private correspondence was permitted. Besides, life sentences, while delivered in some cases, weren't the norm (at least in Sade's time. The Bastille has had several centuries of existence, so I'm guessing that wasn't always the case.) Most of the prisoners were due to go out sooner or later. One can assume that giving them access to some distractions was a way for the regime to assure that the prisoners whose convictions were the less firmly rooted wouldn't oppose them again.

The abilty to veiw memories is suppose to be the additional effect of Eagle Vision, just like how they can stop everything around them to listen to their confession. Plus in every other Assassin's Creed game, the characters stab their targets to the point where they can no longer move, combined with a vital area of internal bleeding. Nearly all of Arno's executions are stabing in the neck or chest and obviously, they can't talk.

Also, what happened to the " now that desmond let the sun gods out they're going to burn the earth and we have to stop them" bit from AC 3 ? Or does none of that matter and making "Pirates of the Caribbean: Assassins Creed edition, and whatever the f&^k this game is about more important ? See, this is why I hate these games, you kill off your main protagonist, instead of making him and ,in affect,the activity outside the "matrix", the main plot, turn AC 4 into, "lets make a video game", and instead of moving forward in time you go backwards, because we(the player) care sooo much about who Hatham Kenways' father was, we needed a whole game devoted to him. 4:27 Fun fact: the guy screaming is Marquis de Sade, the writer of many erotic, nasty and taboo novels in France. Napoleon wanted him dead. words like sadist and sadism come from his name ( most of his novels included sexual torture and well...as we now call it sadism). The legend says that his screaming ( like in the video) drew attention to the prison the revolutionists liberated later. His screams gave the " reason" for attacking the prison. We can't know if it is true, but I read many claims of this.

The city of Paris in this game has the same problem that New York has in Assassin's Creed III. That problem is that multiple historical events are happening all over the city at the same time non stop, even though they occur at different time periods. In the case of New York, one example is that remnants of the fire that burned part of the city. The remnants of the fire continued to smolder the area like it had just ended, and it stayed that way for the whole story of the game, over the course of years. In the case for Paris, it was the riots and gatherings that occurred at different times of the French Revolution. The gathering around the king's execution lasts through the whole game before and after the execution. I also found it very odd that the guards never do anything to the templar goons. One notable event was when a couple just straight up murdered a civilian right outside one of the city garrisons / castle, next to a guard post with guards stationed and with four guards marching past. They did nothing to them. Yet the moment I attack the templar guards to defend myself, as they attacked me, suddenly I get 40 guards all over me and trying to kill me for assault. Some of the forbidden zones are oddly placed. One has a corner taking up most of a civilian street. People walk past all the time, yet the guards only get irked the moment I step foot in the zone that is on a public street. Another is in a tight area with a large mob of people around an execution area. Despite a mob all over the area, the moment I even step a foot inside the area, suddenly all the guards around the stage look straight at me and start going after the character.

Actually for sin 82 the reason why nepolean was so tall is because in reality he wasn't short to begin with. It was a common misconception that happend because the French used a slightly different measuring system than the Briton and other European countries at the time.
