I just finished the game, and it's really sad. Without considering the supernatural elements, Joey did a lot of horrible stuff: he betrayed Susie, treated Bertrum in a condescending way, stole Thomas' inventions, stole the credit of Henry's work, wasted money on risky plans and made many infractions against the USA code of safety. All his ambitious plans were like a Faustian bargain, and he paid the price.

This one makes everything metaphorical, while the others ive seen keep it literal, that Henry is trapped in a loop and the entire studio is a cartoonish hell and hes hunting for a way to break it. So, something I came to realize throughout all of this was that Bendy most closely relates to Felix the Cat. Felix was the king of the era of silent cartoons, a character people thought would be around forever. Until Steamboat Willie debuted, rocketing Mickey Mouse, and sound cartoons, into the stratosphere. Felix slid into relative obscurity, as Paramount floundered with the IP. Bendy even LOOKS more like Felix than Mickey Mouse or any other major star of the era. Also, props to The Meatly for combining the three major black-and-white cartoon empires (Disney, Fleischer, and Paramount) into one big trio.

I actually thought Henry was an ink creature. He doesn’t remember that much about himself before being tuned into an ink creature though. So the immediate moments before hand like meeting with Joey are fresh. That’s why the memory in the kitchen is so vivid and the items he’s seen like the wrench and gear and what not are fresh in his memory & when he defeats the man that did it to him he relives them loop all over again.

I found this theory on the comment section of a different video I forgot who made this theory So a person said that the whole game was just Joey telling Henry's daughter about Henry's adventurer to the studio in a very exaggerated way so she won't be bored in his house hence the storyboard on Joey's house, so the whole time Henry was just checking out the studio but there are no ink demons or ink monster it was just Joey telling Henry's daughter about Henry's adventurer to the studio that's why she said "Tell me another one Uncle Joey" maybe the next story will be Bendy and the Dark Revival and maybe the game will end with Henry picking up his daughter from Joey's home Again this isn't my theory I just found this on the comment section of a different video

If you assume this theory is true, then Susie Campbell takes on a whole new dimension if you compare her in-game actions to what they correlate to in the real world. A young actress so excited to be given the role of her dreams, only to be suddenly replaced, she became bitter and vengeful. Susie lashed out at the studio. Unlike Henry who seemed like he eventually bowed out gracefully and started his own family, Susie probably attacked the studio, maybe she sued them, but more likely she's the one who started to reveal to the general public how Joey Drew ran the studio, she convinced other employees to join her, or gathered intel behind their backs, i.e. she "gutted" the employees for what she needed to bring down the studio, she didn't care if she got them fired, but was 'harvesting" she what needed from them. As the villain of chapters 3 and 4, she represented a vindictive former employee who attempted to take down "Bendy", who knows, her working with Henry might even represent her reaching out to him at some point for dirt. Ultimately her attacks faded when "Allison", the new voice actress for Alice Angel, replaced her, thus "killing" her. I wonder if I'm right, what Projector Man may represent ...

My hypothesis is that all those Borises that Susie used were people who worked for her, and when she was done with them, she took "their insides." Thomas, however, refused to help Susie and when Allison was hired, he supported her. This would also explain why he didn't like Henry back in the last chapter, because he had suspicions that Henry was Susie's "little errand boy" as we saw in Chapter 3.

Joey may've regretted it, but he still got away with everything he did, which was a big reason why the ending was so off-putting. We have no reason to feel bad for Joey. HENRY is the one that deserves to live freely. We'd been rooting for him since Day 1, so it was pretty disappointing to see the bad guy win.

There's also a theory saying that the whole thing is a movie. I mean think about it. We see all the bills pinned to the board and yet at the end on the close up of the picture we see Henry write " congrats on your success " when we can clearly see Joey hasn't had any success whatsoever. The story boards on the table are for a movie, Joey wanting Henry to come by the studio to show him something, that something is the movie before he launches it out to the public. Have you also noticed that everything in the game as a cartoony feel while everything in joeys place has a more realistic feel to it? This could also strengthen the theory that this is a movie Joey was making to try and save his company. And for those of you who are gonna jump the gun saying there aren't such things as first person movies there actually is one out there called Hardcore Henry made back in 2016 that's a first person shooter movie.

While that is valid, the way I took it is that Henry was saying that regardless of how it ended up in the end, Joey did have some success. Sure, he may not have made the big $$$ but he brought his ideas to life and he made people laugh, and did have a bunch of people profit (both with money and in spirit) from the whole ordeal. It could also be Henry trying to tell Joey "hey, you may regret everything that happened, but you shouldn't. You may think it was a failure, /but it was a success./" Again, you could be right and that could be what was meant, that's just what I took from Henry's note on the frame.

Game Theory: When Bendy was released, he was calm, he loved Joey, then when Joey rejected him and chained him up in a room, he was scared and felt lonely. When Henry got to the boarded up Ink Machine, Bendy wasn't trying to grab him to hurt him, but he reached out towards him because Henry was his other owner, then when Henry ran in fear, Bendy started going insane knowing his owners and no one else wanted him. All this is what caused him to become his final form.

I think that if I was anyone in this series, I would be Bendy. Not just because he is this adorable little ink deamon, but because i can relate to him... And as you said, Bendy wasnt trying to attack, he wanted you- he wanted HENERY to make him feal safe. Had Henry not ran, Bendy wouldn't have been quite so... Deamonink. ( pun intended. Besides. I couldnt think; there it is again; of how to spell it. ) I'm sure that if you dont run away when you reach the boarded up ink machine room, Bendy will stay longer, and may be a bit more... Corporative during game play. I mean, not showing up as often. But I agree with you. He was sad. He was lonely. He wanted you to set him free. Hence, the repeated line, ' he will set us free '. But hey, thats just *cough, gold cough* ( #noregrets) a theory. A GAME theory. Thanks for reading ( again, no regrets.)

Here's another possible interpretation of the picture at the end: Since Thomas and Allison are represented by Good Boris and Good Alice, it could be that they are the ones bringing their daughter over for story time (their daughter being Bendy in the picture). Henry's added signature from the old days and the endless cycle of gameplay could be driving home the point that there is no closure to be found in the relationship between Henry and Joey...Henry may have successfully gotten on with his life, but there are just too many bad memories to make rekindling the friendship possible. No matter what, Henry will always see him as a monster who rules a ruined empire...so all Joey can do at this point is accept that and move forward with what he does have: friends who have managed to forgive him. To me, that makes for a far more poignant ending than one where Henry forgives him, because it's brutally honest: no matter how hard we might try to make amends, some wounds are simply too deep to heal...so we have to live with our scars, the painful reminders of the lessons we had to learn. All we can do is forgive ourselves (which is more challenging when no one gives us permission to do so) and try not to make the same mistakes again.

It isn't Henry it's Drew's mental impression of Henry,'s advice toward Drew. Henry tried so many times to correct Drew until the present Drew's guilt formed a barrier personality to deal with him reliving this self made hell of his past decisions. That's also why there's two versions of everybody, for the good times and bad times Drew dealt with them. Sorta the opposite regulations of that book "The life of Pi" In this scenario we the player are learning to deal with our past actions and learning to deal the future consequences.

I think it would mean that Sammy helped them to move on and Sammy worshiping Bendy could have been something holding him back and thats why he wanted the others to move on, so that they couldn't feel the pain like him. So something must have happened to him that made them get sad/mad. Maybe he got a sickness and died or got depression. The others were just sad got like him. Idk that's what I think (But hey, thats just a theory! A game theory!)

Joey’s twisted symbolic story broken down. Chapter 1 - The beginning of it all. The collection of the 6 items is the creation of the studio and the activation of the ink machine is the kickstart of the cartoons. Ink fills the studio to signify the swamping of work and so Henry dips. Joey appears as monster Bendy to try and make Henry stay and fails. Chapter 2 - What happened after Henry left. We look through the eyes of one of the workers, Sammy Lawrence the music writer, to get an idea of the working conditions. It’s bad; there are pipes that just burst ink and flood the place, which could either be taken literally, or are a representation of the workload Joey puts on them. The story of Sammy is one I’m on the fence with. As the music writer, he is a key important employee for a studio about silent cartoons. He worships demon Bendy, Joey Drew, but he did something to make Joey angry. My theory is that with the difficult working conditions making writing music hard for him and the upkeep on demand, he plagiarised someone’s work and tried to offer it up, as symbolised by a ritual sacrifice. But it fails, and Joey’s not happy. I’m happy to hear other theories on what happened with Sammy. Also around this time, a new character called Alice Angel is made without any input from Henry, and Susie Campbell is hired for her voice and she’s hype. Chapter 3 - Internal strife and profit troubles. Alice just isn’t hitting it off with the public, probably doesn’t have that magic Henry touch like Bendy and Boris (like seriously, Alice only has ONE poster? She fell flat fast). Unsold dolls of Alice are making the company a loss. Thinking her voice is the reason, they prepare a replacement, Allison Pendle. Susie is rightfully angry, being fired behind her back, but she might have also been a difficult person to work with. This is her first lead role and she might have gone overboard with it, making demands just like she did with Henry. She also grows an ego and begins looking down on other characters, for she’s rather condescending to the Butcher gang and she tears apart Boris. Also around this time, Joey’s getting corrupt and beginning to grow cynical from his tape in the demon route. Chapter 4 - Susie’s pissed. I think before her firing, she was doing something underhanded to either hurt the studio that burned her or to change, since she left that tape with the threatening tone of “you don’t make angels angry”. I think she was sabotaging Boris somehow, saying she “took what she needed” from him. But eventually the switch was made and Allison takes Susie’s place as Alice. Just maybe too late, Also around this time, Bertrum is introduced with the production of Bendy Land in an effort to stay relevant. Bertrum’s pretty into making it, though he wants others to stay out of his business. But the plans fall through and Bertrum’s angry at his wasted time. This is also an introduction of the Ink People, workers that have been swamped with work and the studio is dragging them down. The Studio is now officially failing and nothing can save it. Chapter 5 - Henry’s chapter, the end and the present. The journey to forgiveness. Sammy wasn’t fired yet and continued to stay in the studio, though driven insane. I think that part is literal, work made him insane. The workers attack when Sammy leaves as he was probably one of the last OG member of the studio left; Henry quit, Wally probably finally made good on his promise and got outta there, and they hound Allison and Tom to leave and end the studio. Henry is reintroduced into Joey’s life. Allison and Tom, her husband, form a friendship with him while on Joey’s path to mending. Allison is nice enough, offering him food, while Tom is more reluctant, probably seeing him as a friend that abandoned Joey in his time of need. Allison sometimes sides with her husband though, symbolised by “she’ll leave you for dead”. It’s a rocky friendship. Eventually, they leave it up to him to finish closing the book on Joey’s regrets as they can’t; they are a part of the worst era of Joey’s life while Henry got out before it got to that point. Henry goes in and shows Joey “the end”, but the cycle repeats because regret is hard to shake off. But he’a getting there. That’s good.

I did too. I can relate to making bad choices, living in the shadow of better people, reliving the good memories, and feeling like there is no way to break the cycle. If I were there with Joey, I'd say this: "Hey Joey, I know things have been rough for you, but it's never too late for you. We all have regrets, and that's just a part of life, but even though it may be painful, or scary, or break your heart, you are never alone, you still have Henry, although you've lost your friends, they are still with you in spirit, and would want you to get better, your fans have not forgotten you, Bendy, or what you inspired or did for them. Although it is a sad ending, it is also a happy ending. Joey is able to be forgiven and to forgive himself and in that way the demons are put to rest. Far better than the idea that all those people got eaten by a horrible machine and the only happy ending is a release from a cycle of pain. I like this ending. It was sort of a "it was all a dream" story, but it was more like stepping into Joey's mind. An exploration of what it feels like to be tormented with regrets. Until I was diagnosed with anxiety, I was crippled by what I now realize were trivial mistakes or choices. I can understand the release of all the weight and tension that Joey felt when he was forgiven by Henry and was then able to forgive himself.
