FAQs: 1) Slab = big pan fish. In this case, Crappie! 2) No, I’m not blind 3) Game Wardens have state wide jurisdiction in TX and 4th amendment exceptions apply on public waterways and public land. Open field doctrine grants exceptions for fish and game officers (broad and vague doctrine to give the government the ability to search your property without a warrant based on suspicion or probable cause). Don’t agree with it, but it is what it is. 4) No, they don’t care that I’m black…witnessed white people get checked that day too. 5) Cooperated cuz I prefer to focus on good vibes, and slay fish… Everything else is open to interpretation! 🤷🏿♂️. Follow for Part 2

I used to go fishing with my husband and his parents all the time and we got checked by the game wardens a couple of times and we went to lots of really huge lakes in Kansas and we went to Colorado to some very interesting places too. A Colorado warden came and checked our licenses and counted the trout, they were not very friendly. Colorado never wants any other state’s residents coming into their state. They had a very unfriendly attitude. They definitely want to keep Colorado all to themselves. My husband’s older sister and her husband and daughter lived in Glenwood Springs, Colorado so we were visiting them. Her husband worked as a hunting and fishing guide for rich men who wanted to go out in the mountains but needed help dealing with the giant wilderness and he knew it all very well.
