This year it is 30 years ago the Nintendo Gameboy was brought to us and many of us who had this device remember it as a part of the gaming evolution that was the first big milestone for mobile gaming, and since then many years have passed by and the edge of time is putting it´s wear on anything but what if we really wanted to see how it looked the first time we saw it again?
as a part of the 30 year anniversary i wanted that anyway and this is why i bring you this video as well. during many years of intensive collecting i have been able to get spare parts for almost every part in the gameboy and this is the key that i wanted to go as deep in this video as I do, anyway it may seem extreme or not really any "restoration" of a existing product as I could been re-using more parts from the old device, but before this part this specific gameboy have been broken earlier with the display getting the blank lines but the controls also stopped working completely, it´s been through a lot so i know these parts have seen the best days already, and therefor i wanted to use the new part instead as this rebuilt gameboy going to be put in a storage state to keep it´s condition over time and then "new parts" makes sense even if they are nos and old as well.
anyway i hope you enjoy watching this long video and gain a trip back in time as well and I had lots of fun and memories coming back to me doing this :)

video is made by myself as well and even if the video was made as a one time shot I have cut away some parts that is not as necessary to include to keep the long video a bit shorter and interesting but I still keep all steps and order to show the complete step by step process of getting this done!
Thanks for reading through this text and have a nice day
