Wow!! I'm speachless, that's the best mod of GC I've seen overall. The internal mod, the custom lightening and paint, plus the controller .. That's crazy. Pucho did a fantastic job on the paint. For the jewel they all look fantastic, but I think the Samus Visor fit the best!

@@RockerGaming I also agree with doing a paracord video. I tried for the life of me to get the tape thing and ended up giving up and just cutting them off and soldering them back on after getting the paracord on. Luckily for me it still works fine lol

This GC overhaul looks amazing! The paint job is insane! The LED lights with the drilled in holes makes it even better! Have you ever attempted to cast and mold the Z button so that it isn't purple? Also, another video that would be cool is every tools and products you use to do your mods... a kind of a newbie startup guide! Great video and keep up the good work!

@@pyrogee33 So the GCDual and the GCHD MKII were both designed by citrus3000psi and off the exact same benefits, the GCDUAL is internal and the MKII is external. So if you have the GCDual there is no need for the MKII. I have heard of the MCable and it can be paired with GCDual/MKII for awesome results. If I could acquire one a bit cheaper I would love to do some side by side video comparisons on it. I think it would be really interesting to see that!

Josh, much appreciated! There is the rumored Prime Trilogy switch version of the game, which is supposedly coming out?! After revising this game for this video the controls do feel a bit outdated IMO. Not terrible for a game at its time, but not great either. I might sit tight till after E3 as I know Nintendo will have the controls optimized for the Switch which would be great!

I Need This GameCube in my Life!! It's So Beautiful!! Also, Like you, I was disappointed as well. But I knew that Nintendo had to make a Tough Decision and it was not easy to make that Decision. That's amazing, I'd buy both of them. I like how the controller looks like it could be official, it also looks even better than most official special controllers, since it has so much personality with the colors and styling. But still looks grounded enough to be official. But the GameCube itself just looks too amazing and unique for it to look official, of course that isn't a bad thing at all, it's just that since even the special editions are all produced in factories, they don't have such level of detail, and don't deviate much from regular version of a console, with the only differences being some colors and maybe stickers and such. This GameCube looks like it came out of Metroid itself, the shine, the cool LEDs. I generally don't care much for LEDs when they're just used for the sake of being used, but here it feels justified because it fits perfectly and enhances the visuals you were going with, Samus' armor has a bunch of lights on it, so here they fit perfectly. Great job on it, both of you guys. I can't imagine it being better than this, definitely the coolest Metroid styled console I've seen. Also, I really like the Jewel with the Samus' visor, I like all of them, but I think this one fits the most with the rest of the console, it makes it all look like one cohesive design.

Wow, thank you for the amazing comment! I agree with you the visor, I really like that one as well. It was very close between the Prime 4 jewel and the visor. I still have the Prime 4 jewel on there today, but the visor jewel is always at the ready in case I change my mind, lol. The controller is one of my favorite parts, but I'd be lying if I didnt say it only gets used on special occasions, lol. I just want it to last as long as possible as its one of my favorite parts of the mod!

I did debate it for a while, but after seeing how much the buttons pop I didnt think more would be necessary this time around, having said that I almost wanted to make a second controller so I could LED mod it 😂 I like the sound of that PS2 controller project and would love to see it paracorded if possible. My take on the color scheme would have been red lid, orange top case, red faceplate (with green memory card doors, green back plate, red bottom shell, and orange gb player. I feel like it would have emulated her suit better seeing as how the red is more of an accent than the base color. Looks great, as usual. You mentioned booting Swiss with the XenoGC chip. Is there a specific/easy way to do this? I have one in my Gamecube, but all I can find is tutorials on how to boot into Swiss without the modchip.

So full disclosure, you cant direct boot into swiss using the xeno gc, but you can burn swiss to a mini dvd-r and load it into your GC. Then when you start up the system it effectively boots you directly into Swiss. If you download the most current swiss build there should be an ISO folder and in there you should be able to burn the NTSC-U version of swiss.

@@RockerGaming That's what I figured. I got one of the SD memory card adapters too hoping I wouldn't have to burn off a new copy of Swiss every time it updated. I did find one option to boot into GBI with Wind Waker, so that might be what I'll have to do. I pretty much only want to use the Gamecube to play GB, GBC, and GBA games, so that option will probably be fine. Was hoping there was some cool way to boot Swiss to access the SD card with only the XenoGC. Thanks for the response tho.

@@XHAOS13 No problem, if you can source a Qoob Pro, you can direct boot into swiss with no disc, but those mod chips are hard to come by and if you find someone who has one, be ready to spend a bit to acquire it. They are pretty highly sought after.

It's to lubricate the joystick. It basically help the plastic parts inside the stickbox glide better so there is less resistance. It makes a pretty big difference!

It doesnt feel loose at all, it just makes the controller glide better. Think of it as making the controller feel the way it did when it was new from the factory. It ships from the factory with lubricant and this gives it a new coat of that lubricant.

Yeah Pucho uses an airbush with automotive paint. He can likely give you a bit more detail, but the console and controller feel like glass.

That must be the case. The other thought would be that they couldnt get the game to work in unreal engine 4 correctly and retro needed to work the magic!

I would check Ebay. I am pretty patient and regularly find them for 20 or less in nice shape. This would be for basic colors, i.e. black, purple and silver
