Let's take a look at a cool 3d printable accessory that transforms any table surface into an upgraded gaming table experience. Gameframe by Meeple Keepers is an inexpensive and efficient system of accessories that attach to the edge of any game table offers a variety of options for storage and organization.
Here's my first look at this system and my initial thoughts.

Just picked this up as a post-Kickstarter purchaser. My first unit is on the printer now, I'm glad to see you've had good results. One thing you might want to mention is the thickness of the counter you demoed with. My desk is just over 2cm thick and the files jump from 2 to 4 cm for options, so I'm anxious to see just how much play I'm going to have when I try it out. Details on the printer/filament you used could be helpful as well for people looking into using it. I'm currently running an X1C with some generic PLA+ filament, so hopefully I can add a data point on if that warping is more a print or design problem. I expect that even if I don't use it totally for a game table, it looks like it could be very useful as an addition to the paint table or project bench. Modular storage is always in short supply and having projects/kits that can be easily brought up and put back away seems like another useful option with these. Thanks for the review!

Yeah, when I saw this Kickstarter suggested to me I was pretty excited about this, I think it's a great idea. Definitely let me know how you like the pieces you print. I have more on my printer now. The hardest part is waiting for print times. I had another section of video that I thought I recorded but either I didn't hit record, hit it twice, or gremlins struck where I talked about the print time, my printer (Ender 3 Pro), and material (hatchbox gold PLA). While I was editing I realized that part was missing and I took a few other notes for a follow-up video after I've printed more pieces and played with them at a table for a few hours. Check back in and let me know what you think!

@@jickobyAn update. I did my test print with a couple of different materials. Some PLA/Silk PLA and then PETG. All fit together well, very sturdy. I did not encounter any of the warping you did. The 4cm model works solid on my 2.1cm table - no wobble. Now to figure out my plans for an actual cohesive look for a final set.

That project bench idea you mentioned is brilliant!

This week I ran out of filament during an overnight print and had to start over. Now I have one more square box and a dice tower. I ended up a bit too busy to put too many things through my printer but this weekend I'll be kicking off some more sections.

I'm trying to print my first few pieces from the Kickstarter now, but the top (the one I printed was the large top with a square hole and a circular hole), but the circular hole started to collapse at the top without supports. Meeple Keepers claims no supports are needed, but I don't think that's true. How did you manage it?

How did you orient the piece on the print bed? Check the PDF, there are arrows next to each piece that indicate which direction to print. I think I had to rotate most of my pieces after importing to cura.

@@jickoby yeah, I figured that might be the case. I DEFINITELY had to rotate the screws, I was just wondering which orientation you might have had that top piece. It does have a lot of grooves in different places.
